Damn parts of that trailer had me chuckling. Seeing his dry wit in action, now I really want to see some humour from him in Mo .

Oh, that would be great! Hopefully his character and the mood of the film isn't all seriousness throughout. If Clark Kent is given a few light-hearted moments that would be more than wonderful. Btw, I may have missed it in the link but when does this episode air?

I'm pretending this video is about Clark touring the world as a young reporter.

I also meant the TV and cartoon versions, Smallville and STAS. There's even the Pinky and the Brain episode (lol)... It's been told many times. We know the basics of what's gonna happen, which isn't the case in movies like, say, In the Loop. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm necessarily tired of the origin, I think a feature-length Superman origin lends itself to an amazing movie, but it's like Michael Shannon says, "There's nothing I could tell you about this Superman story that could surprise you", or sth like that. I'm just talking about the movie's ability to surprise me, not entertain me or delight me, cause I'm trusting it to do just that.

Okay, but remember: Man of Steel is going to attract a very wide audience, many of whom have not had the benefit of seeing TV and cartoon versions of the Superman origin. So, I think a good portion of the audience will enter the film with a less-than-adequate understanding of the Superman mythos.

Also, even though this movie will cover the origin, that doesn't mean it doesn't have anything new that could surprise you. I'm pretty sure that the origin story will only be a small fraction of the entire movie, and that the rest of the story will be new and surprising. In fact, even parts of the origin will probably be new and different from past stories, like what happens on Krypton, how Clark deals with his powers, how the Kents teach Clark to use his powers wisely, how Clark decides to ultimately become Superman, and how Clark meets Lois... You get the point; there's a lot of room for change. This Superman movie, despite being an origin story, will certainly still be able to offer new and surprising story elements.

They did sleep in separate sleeping bags in the trailer

Unless they snuck into one bag together for some tight night snuggles:alan:

What happens in the desert stays in the desert. :X

See this is why I hope this film doesn't have him brooding and uber serious the entire way through. The guy has such a natural charm and, I hope they don't squish it. He acts like someone who is grateful for all he has in life, and I think that respect really suits the character.

Yeah, it's nice to see Cavill being loose and even silly. Too often he seems so stiff dressed up for the Hollywood media.

oh man, that's a good 'haters gonna hate' gif
