BvS Henry Cavill IS Superman - Part 2

My worry is how he looks in a suit and work clothes. He's so huge.

I liked how they handled Clark in All Star Superman where he wore clothes that were too big so he looked a little pudgy with Luthor even commenting that if Clark hit the gym he'd be able to transform his pudge into a physique that rivaled Superman.

Don't know if that would work with Cavill. Noone would believe he has an ounce of face looking at his chiseled face.
In that last shot when he's at the DP it looked they went that route. The suit he is wearing seems really ill-fitting, so I think they will stick with that.

That's funny about All-Star...I forgot that Luthor comment.

If you can go back and look at that last shot, you can see how the shoulders and stuff seem kinda of droopy...like the blazer he is wearing is a bit large.
Yeah the face gives it away that he has very little body fat. But they did try to uglify him with dowdy clothes, tousled hair and glasses. And the costume designer said they were trying hard in the Clark scenes to hide his physique.

But now that he will have friends and acquaintances and might go to games and movies with his office mates, if he wears a T shirt it is a dead giveaway right that he basically has the body of a god?

I think they can simply have it that Clark is a gym enthusiast. In one of the comics, Lois actually sees Clark's gym and Clark realizes he should keep bigger weights there because the weights are too less to be a disguise for someone with his physique.

Yeah, I don't think they should make too much of an effort trying to hide how fit he is. Just say that he really enjoys working out and be done with it.

I think this may be where we may get those traditional aspects of Clark. I recently picked up the novelization and it mentions he's slumping to hide his size, but that's not really apparent in that scene. The clothes though were definitely dowdy and ill-fitting, so I think he will always be in clothes like that no matter what the occasion. He will always look like...a klutz...a nerd. That's my thought at least.

Superman's thoughts: Is that how a Kryptonian babe looks.:hrt::exp::mag:hmm:up:
She sure has me excited.

Amazing...he really does look like he stepped of the pages of a comic at times.

I got an idea. Fire Cavill. Replace him with Idris Elba. What would that look like you ask?

I want them to make some slight changes to suit next movie to bring out the waist a bit more.

In most of the pics like this one, where he is wrinkling his forehead and NOT raising both eyebrows, he looks like his hairline is receding pretty badly. Hopefully the production crew anticipates this problem and gives him the "help" he needs. He still looked great in this film. I'm just worried about the next film, as receding hairlines naturally get worse over time.

OMG. These pictures! Haven't seen these before!

He looks so perfect for this character. And that suit! It's just beautiful. I never thought I'd call a comic book character's suit beautiful, but here we are.:hrt:

It is really amazing to me. I was literally grabbing comics out of the garage and off my main shelf where I keep my favorites comparing pictures. It is truly uncanny.

It is. If I saw someone looking like that on the street, I'd think Superman was real.

There's a shot in MOS where Supes is speaking to Jor before going to save Lois and he looks like Perez drew him where he was standing. It is...just wow. It's crazy.

The shot of him floating in the air talking to General Swanwick was so Alex Ross-esque.

No, it's actually the shot right when he gets off the bed and then turns to see Jor-El. He looks like a penciling I've seen from Perez. The shadowing on his face and all that! It's efffing crazy man. Just effing crazy.

Lots of Ross and Lee influences in this movie for sure.

No shame in it. That suit is FKN GORGEOUS. Lol best cbm suit Ever!

Normally, I find superhero suits pretty dorky looking, but overlook it because I like the character/movie. But this MOS suit doesn't seem dorky to me for some reason. It's regal or something.

Superman is quite a tragic character in a sense, and this is a plus in my book. Particularly as people call him boring and one dimensional. He clearly is a force for good, and has the right intentions.

Kingdom Come is a good example as any. In Superman’s absence, killers are masquerading as heroes. Big blue returns to put a stop to this, reforming the justice league. He wants Batman to join, but the offer is refused. Batman outlines why he won’t, citing the concept won’t fly.

Superman continues anyway, deciding to act in a louder decisive way. The league locks up more people than covert them, with the prisoners not listening to the messages of hope. A riot ensues, with Superman confounded as to how it happened. His ambition can be a weakness.

Ala Superman: Peace on Earth. He wanted to deliver food to all the starving around the world, but soon realised it was an unachievable feat. People have to reach inner peace in their own time.

Superman is an ideal to strive towards. He’s always there, leading by example. When people are ready, they can join him. This might be a bunch of nonsense, but that’s my two cents.

Yeah, I agree. I do the same thing. This suit looks... Believable. Idk Like if there was a real Superman this is what his suit would look like. It's hard to describe. Not like something from a halloween store *cough ASM2 cough cough*. Jk :woot: but seriously, I say it all the time, I've never felt so proud as a Supes fan as I am about that suit.

don't remember this scene in the movie. thanks btw.

I believe it's after they take Zod back in the beetle ship just before he starts walking towards Faora and Nam'ek.
