I thought the ending of Man of Steel showed us that was the end of his arc of becoming Superman.
I thought the ending of Man of Steel showed us that was the end of his arc of becoming Superman.
I think we all did
This is the clip I mean. Superman formally meeting the JL for the first time. Cavill nails it right here as how I'd like to see it go down.
I'm still trying to figure out what character arc you guys are talking about Clark pretty much starts MoS and ends BvS the same person.
What lessons has he learned? What growth has taken place?
Well this thread is now another one that is not enjoyable to read or be in due to the 'usual few' of baiters, haters and repeat negative types. Why the mods don't ask for them to tone it down a bit is incredible.
Don't get me wrong, I think Cavill would be an awesome Superman if they actually gave him something to do that was more than look depressed or punching something.
I've been gone for a few days....I'm back now and trying to get a handle on what has been going on.
It's fine if you think that, these are only opinions after all, but it's worth pointing out how comfortably in the minority you are on that one.
A minority according to whom? Overly cynical fanboys and critics whose opinions and jobs I reject as having any validity?
Say it is a minority the only scope you have is the minority that's here. In any case if it us a minority so what? It doesn't make anyone's opinion more valid than the other because ove supposedly aligns more with a majority.
I think it's pretty much a given at this point that fans and audiences, including critics, don't think Cavill's Superman had enough personality that made him seem like Superman. It boils down to he wasn't warm enough. Snyder's Superman shoots for "stoic", which is what modern Superman is a lot of the time, but people wanted to see his other side, and wanted to see Cavill do that.
But Guard, who are these "people?". Everyone I know outside the Internet is absolute fine with and in many cases love Cavill and his Superman.
When did I say anyone's opinion wasn't valid? That's a claim only Digific has made
However if 20 people tell me to avoid a restaurant because they disliked it while 2 tell me they enjoyed it, I'm probably going somewhere else to eat.
Cavill keeps saying this is not the Superman we all know and love yet.
