if you check the gallery, it looks like there was a sequence. him kneeling, him getting into position, then him sitting on the floor.

Cavill on cast and some suit stuff... (might have been posted already)

"I really can't wait for it! Such a great opportunity to play such an iconic role.. I feel very lucky. It's fantastic, absolutely amazing. She's a great actress, but all the actors there are just.. wow, I'm overwhelmed. The opportunity for an actor of my experience, you know only ten years, to be a part of that cast and to be leading it is fantastic. And I really, really can't wait to be shaking hands and discussing the project with them all.
"I haven't worn the actual film suit yet.. no, not yet. The [costume] team is still working on it. I've done fittings.. and from what I've heard it's coming together wonderfully. It'll be fresh and new but immediately recognizable."

Here's another WonderCon interview recently posted:

What I am beginning to notice and like about Henry is that he has a bit of a naive quality and that makes him more relatable, like you can see that he could make mistakes and be "human" instead of being a perfect "god" as Superman.

Nice interview loved what he said about chemistry :D

Am, I bad if I say I want a Superman without clothes scene? :wow:
Oh..oh gawd I need help.

"It'll be fresh and new but immediately recognizable."

Sounds to me like we're getting an awesome take on the classic suit, something like Lee Bermejo's hopefully.

Yea Bermejo draws in quite a realistic way and his design seems like a frontrunner in my opinion too.
I particularly love the style of the S shield.
The way it's raised out as if its just a 2nd layer of the material, not a plate like in Superman returns. So it would stil have all the flexibility but is more defined.
It's ideal, although personally I would make it a little smaller.

This movie seems to have so much going for it, both behind the scenes and what may be in front of the camera. And no franchise at present seems to be more snake bit than Superman, from SR to the ridiculous Smallville.

Yet we have Nolan, and hopefully Snyder, what appears to be an interesting if not great cast, espescially Amy Adams who may give us the best, most intelligent, most endearing, and kick ass Lois since Phyllis Coates.

But the true ace in the hole, may be Henry himself. It is far too early to lavish great praise on him, but he so far has been pitch perfect up until now. He has an incredible look, charm, talent, and a sex appeal so far unknown with Superman. He seems smart and intelligent, hard working, appealing, and understands the character, and what he needs to do.

Routh seemed nice, but overwhelmed, while Cain brought sex appeal but not the gravitas of Chris Reeve, nor the manliness of George Reeves, while Welling had some charm early on, he seamed arrogant and above the whole scene, and he treated the character as a means to an end, and he and the show were hurt by it.

Cavill seems uber charming, talented, smart and brings such joy to his interviews, that I wonder, did everyone on the sound stage have an orgasism when he walked out in the CR suit in his screen test? Honestly, I have to wonder once he came out in full regaliai, did anyone else have a chance?

We can only hope the pitch perfect continues.

well said. hope great news keep coming in.

Just watched Superman/Batman Apocalypse, does anyone think Superman in that film kinda looks like Cavill?

I think because 90% of the modern Superman renderings are based on Reeve, you won't find much of a resemblance between Cavill and the comic Superman, aside from features inherent to the character's basic look.

But if the movie is a hit, I'm sure the comics will start to resemble HC over time.

The last time I checked, this thread was to talk about Henry Cavill, and not about the women that have played Lois Lane, let alone critiquing on their looks.

Anyways, back to topic:

I'm truly excited to see on Cavill really bringing that human element to Clark Kent that Dean Cain was able to, and yet still possessing that larger than life quality that CR had in his superman; it's really the best of both worlds perhaps.
