This was discussed before. Superman's face, like Batman's cowl, is considered iconic -- black hair/blue eyes. Bruce Wayne .. not so much, possibly because he wears a mask. They always take more liberties with Batman (on film) than Superman. That's just the way it is.

That could be part of the move to summer 2013, to give them more time for stuff like that.

WB has Batman 3 and Hobbit in 2012. Hobbit in december 2012. Hobbit or superman would go to summer 2012. it was superman and not Hobbit.
i think this is the only reason.

I thought of that too. That once he dons the suit he'll be bigger than in the origin-scenes. They might shoot it chronologically for that reason.

this was discussed before. some actors dont look good with 100% black hair. only with very dark brown hair that is almost black.

No human being can look remotely like this unless they take an over abundance of steroids... Unless you want this Superman to be heavily CG augmented, in which case we might as well go the Green Lantern route and have a completely CG costume that makes him look like the above.

Me? I want to see a well built Superman so that it denotes a powerful being. Tall and muscular, but not looking like a body builder.

He is small, and yes a powerful looking Superman would make me happy. Why should we settle, the Thor and Cap fans didn’t have to settle, besides if your going to embody a character why miss a portion of what makes that character themselves.

Well, right now it doesn't look "very dark brown" to me; it's just regular or medium brown. I'm fine with the former if we get that on film. Having said that, I think Cavill can pull off jet black hair for the Superman role. Like another poster said, it worked for Tom Hiddleston.
