But if you see hemsworth in the avengers he lost a lot of muscle and comparation with the movie thor, but he looks big at the same but less Ripped in comparation with cavill...

Cavill may look every bit as big as that in a closer up shot like that too.

He surely looks more cut.

Cavill, while bigger than Evans, still doesn't quite measure up to this beast though:

I find manly men to be very intimidating. :o That and unless you do hard labor or are extremely blessed genetically, that look takes a lot of time in the gym to perfect and sorry, I'm not really interested in gym rats. :o

I find chests to be massively overrated. Back muscles really get me going. :awesome:

Like an 1 hour a day compared to.. sitting in front of a computer? Video game, or TV? :oldrazz:

Meh. As always comparisons comes in the way. (I hate too much comparisons)

Let's just appreciate the beauty of a rugged, shirtless, bearded and ripped Cavill as Clark Kent in the rain.

Depends on what he's doing on the computer. :oldrazz: I'm definitely the lazy one out of both of us - if my bf's sitting in front of a computer, he's usually working on a project.

And we don't do video games or TV. :oldrazz:

ETA: Also, it's intimidating because if he spends that much time working on his body, I'd feel guilty if I wasn't doing the same with mine, even if I'm genetically blessed to be super skinny. And that he'd probably dump me for a hotter chick because I'm lazy about my physical looks and he'd want someone who approached appearances the way he did. :o

Seriously I can't stop looking at those pics... Christian Bale has got a competitor as most sexy superhero-man ever. But it is still just visually, he gotta bring it in acting too like Bale! :P

(Omg, now I compared too! But only with a lovable view.)

All I see here is a guy carrying more water with arms and pecs disproportionately big for the rest of his physique. That profile shot of Hemsworth is one of the worst cases I've seen of mirror muscles. His physique just doesn't look right... major balance issues. The way his head is tilting forward is evidence that his back is weak and disproportionately small.

Even Arnold's physique which is known for his amazing arms isn't dominated from the side by them like Hemsworth's was in Thor.

Hmmm... That's exactly why in my experience intimidating is a good thing

I certainly don't feel very good being indirectly pressured into working out every day! :o Same reason why I don't read fashion magazines - "Oh you're already model-thin, but don't worry, we have 10000x more things for you to do before you can call yourself attractive!" :o

Eff that I say, it's a not a good use of my energy, worrying about that stuff. And I'll never be "good enough" for such people anyway. So don't go on blaming us nerdy non-gym-bunny women for not going after the manly men. :oldrazz:

It's why I go for the nerds. They think on my level. It just so happens that most of them are skinny and pale because they don't work out. :o

Anyway, in a movie all that doesn't matter, I just treat 'em as they are - mere eye candy. :awesome:

If you like back muscles, i don't think your problem is with gym rats in general. The problem is with vain pretty boys with mirror muscles. Anyone who is lifting for the right reasons (fitness, strength, etc.) will have a decent back.

Well, when is that photo from? His physique has changed a bit since Thor is looking far more balanced in The Avengers. Even so, his delts still look twisted forward so the issue might be moreso weak lower traps/rhomboids. I still stand by my opinion that based on what I could see in Thor, his physique looked front heavy.

I think it's from during the filming of Thor. Meh, I think he looks fine. Probably just genetics that make him look that way. It's all good.

They both bulked up great for their respective films and put a lot of work into their workout regimes, but I guess Hemsworth is just naturally bigger. He's 6"3 and his natural build is broad and big-boned, Evans is 6"0 and was actually fairly skinny when younger. In that respect, Evans has actually probably had to put more effort into attaining his build.

Yeah the guys whose biceps are as big are their heads really turn me off. :o Luckily as you said, many guys have good backs so more eye candy for me! :awesome:

Tom Hardy is still DAT NECK tho. :)
You're looking as his neck? I'm looking at those LIPS. :awesome:

With a tan and given a few days to cut water Cavill could probably place in an amateur bodybuilding show. Helmworth can not. Not saying Hemlworth doesn't look good. He just isn't as shredded or defined. Also he hasn't kept up his workouts, the Avenger pics look terrible. They look like smaller stunt double. Also Cavill's proportion and symmetry are pretty amazing.

Missed my point entirely...

When women feel that their man is attractive to other women, they will always find him more attractive too. Even if he is so hot its 'intimidating".

The opposite is also true. If a man presents himself in such a way that seems unnatractive to other women, this is not good for his relationship he is already in.

If he does something you think will make him more attractive to other women this will never make him less attractive to you, even if it initimidates you.

It's funny when women say that they are not attracted to this or that type of a man, and they point out specific types like "gym rats", when the honest truth is they are attracted to who they find attractive and almost never have an objective reason as to why. Like they have some button list of things a man needs to have for her to be interested/not interested, but when she "feels it" for a particular guy her list goes out the window.

Hemsworth likely knew he would be wearing armour (as opposed to a skintight costume) so getting totally defined or shredded wasn't quite as important .............. most of it would never be seen. He just had to get big to convey that imposing Thor presence, especially round the shoulder and arm areas.

Cavill on the other hand has really sculpted his physique so it will look good in any kind of skintight outfit, with lots of definition. His work has paid off.

That's interesting you mention that.

I was at an amateur bodybuilding show a couple months ago supporting a friend who was competing.

There were a lot of guys in the light-heavyweight class, around 6'1", tanned and oiled up that did not look as impressive as Cavill does in those pics.

I think you missed my point entirely too. :funny: I was referring to being intimidated INTO working out so much because if physical appearance was so important to him, I'd assume he'd want the same for his girlfriend.

Then again guys who are like that wouldn't go after women like me in the first place, unless they were aiming to control me anyway. Or were complete blithering idiots. :funny:

Yeah I suppose you're right. If I met someone really smart and it turned out he went to the gym every day, that wouldn't really bother me because I would have seen what kind of person he was beyond just "gym rat." I wouldn't meet people at the gym though, the odds just aren't as good. :funny:

Hemsworth is a Mesomorph with large bones, and is just a naturally bigger guy. Evans, Cavil, Jackman are natural Ectomorphs- tall skinny guys who packed muscle onto their naturally smaller frames. You can tell that Henry has his diet down, possibly low or moderated carb. His low bodyfat accentuates his dense muscles even more. I'm curious what his strength gains are from working out at Gym Jones.

so what do you call short, skinny guys who have a hard time packing on muscle on their smaller frames?

are we considered Ectomorphs, too?

oh, and coming from a totally straight guy, Cavill's physique is simply :awesome:!!

He LOOKS like a Superman!! :woot: :super:

Huh, Cavil looks more dense based on circumstance(hair/pose). Take anyone of this guys, give them something heavy to live and have them run and you'll see what looks like dense muscle. Evans was walking around with huge arms for months and he's naturally a gym head(it's been documented). I can understand however that they wanted to give him a sort of artificial/fresh look based on the story premise.
How-Chris-Evans-Body-Shaping1.jpg

That being said if snyder hired the guys from 300 then you can bet Cavills working with some very practical muscle fibers. I do think Jackman get's over looked for how easy he makes it all look but he get's in insane shape for his films.

Hemsworth has the best frame for what he's going for and Reynolds kicked ass in his bulk up films as well.

Routh imo is really the only one that looked like he had water in his arms(sorry man)

At the end of the day, this guy probably has the has the best transformation(flash thompson).
