Immortals getting a sequel? I don't think so, Jim.

Well when I say success I mean it did better than it was expected too

Also those numbers are only domestic

Regardless of the real budget it did do far better than most thought. I'm not saying it's a big hit or anything but I think that they will eventually make money off of it. Personally I liked the film and I dug Cavill in it.

I hope that Henry does do a sequel, I really enjoyed it. It'd be nice if he made another one and it was released in between MOS and its sequel (if we get one).

Cavill was great in the battles, I'd want a sequel just for more of that. He's got the fight choreography down like a boss.

Theseus would be a god in a sequel right?

I liked Immortals well enough, but it didn't exactly set my world on fire. I definitely enjoyed most of the actors performances with the exception of Mickey Rourke, who has no business playing that type of role. The action was solid, but there was never a moment where I was like "WOW that was awesome." Cavill did a fine job as Theseus though. He definitely has it.

Totally agreed. Absolultely the best aspect of the film. Everything else was under par, but the fight scenes were some of the best i've ever seen. :)

Yeah, the battles and Cavill's performance saved that movie. The plot made no sense and the visuals weren't as great as Tarsem and the producers kept saying they would be. But Henry and the fight choreographers brought their A-game.

Rourke is only good at playing street wise blue collar characters. I don't really understand why he was cast in Immortals or Iron Man 2 for that matter.

Luke Evans was a pretty good Zeus, imo.

Freida Pinto and Isabel Lucas are hot. That always helps.

Rourke definitely had a bit of menace about him, but at the same time, it often felt like he had phoned in his performance - bit detached and didn't seem to making much of an effort. I got the impression he just wanted the paycheque and to head home. Cavill on the other hand played his role with much enthusiasm.

I'm over Rourke.
It's really sad to see him throw away his comeback. At the time of The Wrestler he seemed really humbled by his experiences, but now the same things (ego, money) that put his career in the toilet in the first place are cropping up again. Which is a shame, because he is a fantastic actor.

I like Rourke well enough as an actor but the more I see of him, the more I realize that he had very little range.

I also kind of hate him for the (alleged) role he had in destroying my favorite band, the Smashing Pumpkins.

The whole cast, barring Mickey Rourke, was hot. You could argue that Immortals was a good excuse to shoot a beautiful movie with a beautiful cast. Eye candy to the extreme. :woot:

It's brilliant that even in a film that's generally considered quite dissapointing, Henry still comes up smelling like roses :)

I hope Cold Light of Day is the same, cause I have this feeling he's going to be in better films sooner rather than later :)

Yeah, though I have my concerns about Cold Light of Day. Parts of it look good in the trailer, while others look mediocre.
