Henry Cavill IS Superman: - Part 8

Huh?? Makes no sense... With two trailers out already and movie looking like it's done.

The movie has been in the can for the past few months (if not longer than that). Lionsgate has no clue what to do with it, especially since it was to come out a week or two before The Avengers (even before they made it a limited release). I guess if the MOS teaser is extremely well-received, perhaps they'll push it up to market up Cavill's presence.

The story goes that Rourke got romantically involved with Darcy and got her hooked on plastic surgery (and possibly cocaine, though she might have started that habit before she met him) and convinced her to quit the band to to pursue an acting career. Supposedly, she was going to star in a movie with him. The movie never materialized though and she pretty much disappeared completely, though she resurfaces from time to time to call into a radio station or get arrested for something. But anyway, pre-Rourke, she looked like this:

And post-Rourke, she looked like this:

Now to be fair, it's unclear what all happened there but she clearly had some bad plastic surgery done and given that she was linked to Rourke and her looks took a turn for the bizarre at about that time, it would appear that he had something to do with it. :csad:

To quote Will Smith: Daaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyuuuuuuuuummmmmmm!
But is it fair to blame Mickie for her problems?
I still haven't seen Immortals! I do hope Henry's performance has gotten better since The Tudors, not that he wasn't good in that show, but he could definitely have been better. I will also say that looking at the numbers, I considered Immortals a success, not Harry Potter, Ironman success though. Is it safe to say that the movie was a success because they had the actor who is playing Superman in it?

More info. on "The Cold Light of Day" release date shift:

Henry Cavill Movie 'Cold Light of Day' Release Date Moved to September

By Joshua L. Weinstein

Published: March 12, 2012 @ 5:49 pm

"The Cold Light of Day," starring "Superman" star Henry Cavill, Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver, is getting a limited release in September rather than a wide release in April, Summit Entertainment said Monday.

The movie is about a young Wall Street trader whose life turns upside down when, during a sailing vacation in Spain, his family is kidnapped by intelligence agents who want to recover a mysterious briefcase.

The PG-13 thriller originally was set to be released domestically on April 6 -- the same day as Universal releases its comedy "American Reunion" and Paramount releases "Titanic 3D."

On Monday, Summit said it is switching the date to Sept. 7, and instead of a wide release, the movie will have a limited release.

No major films are scheduled for release that day.

An individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap that Summit plans a targeted release in the nation's top markets and, based on its performance, will expand the movie from there.

The film is being released internationally before it opens domestically.

Cavill, who played Theseus in Relativity's "Immortals," stars as Superman in "Man of Steel," from Warner Bros. That movie opens June 14, 2013.

A fan on facebook has a picture of himself and HC, on the superman facebook page. Says it is from today, on a flight to Dublin. Filming must be done, HC has the very short "Tudor's" haircut. Still looks big under the sweatshirt though

Ol' Henry looks bigger than in the final month of shooting MOS. That's what proper rest and mama's home cooking does for ya! But it's funny how, with this haircut (and in this particular picture), he looks nothing like Superman to me. Ooooh the magical powers of movie transformation (too bad they didn't work for BR :hehe:). :o

But I think he needs a Follicular Unit Transplantation procedure. Superman can't have a receding hairline.

Yes he can. Cavill's version of Superman is it's own thing.

But Superman's had one before regardless.

Sean Connery wore wigs during most of his Bond tenure. Don't see an issue here.

Yeah and his hair looks fine from the official photo and all those set pictures. Non issue.

that's not a receding hair line, sure, it is higher than average, but if you notice, the right hand side of his hair line, looks to be a cowlick or whatever they are called... i have one, it's where that part of the hair just grows straight up and then down, it helps to give a wave in the hair, a subtle curl if you like.

If they can make a man look like hes flying on screen and shoot lasers out of his eyes i think they can deal with something as insane as a receding hairline. Even tho it hardly looks like one.

Don't you people understand! The fate of this movie, neigh! The WORLD rests on this man's HAIR! :argh::o

So to summarize things; Rockstar has issues with Amy's weight, hair color and Henry's supposed receding hair line.

I'd like to say that he wouldn't be able to come up with something else to have grinds with that could top those things, but hell..I've been surprised throughout my entire tenure on these boards.

One thing's for sure, Henry Cavil has the potential to be the best Superman for this generation. That is all.:yay:

I thought it was Crazymaverick that had a problem with Cavill's hairline.

He can wear wigs in Sequels, if needed (I hope not.)

Nah, Henry's hair looks good to me.

Theres always the hair club for men if he ever needed it though. Have you seen the infomercials? Those guys are hair maestros.

To summarize things, you need glasses.

I have nothing against Cavill.

You forgot to mention Amy's age there. :cwink:

Cavill's hairline is fine. though when he reaches his 40's he may want consider hair surgery.

But otherwise, his hair is pretty darn thick, so he has the type of hairline when it all depends on his hairstyle. Like Heath Ledger, who had a receding hairline. You wouldn't notice it depending on his hairstyle. Actually my hairline is kinda receding but due to my thick hipster hair, it doesn't look that bad at all. Now if I cut my hair short, it'll be a different story.
