Hitman: Absolution - Part 1

I always thought Christian Bale would make a sweet 47, but that was like 8 years ago lol.

If you're gonna go with off the wall casting, it should be someone that's actually a good actor. For example, I think the concept of Paul Giamatti as Rhino is ridiculous, but he's an amazing actor so who knows if he'll magically pull it off.

However, Paul Walker plays Paul Walker in literally everything and that persona is nothing like 47. It'd be like getting Keanu Reeves or Tom Cruise. They always play themselves. If you're gonna get an actor like that, get someone who actually resembles 47 like Vin Diesel (though I'd cringe if he was cast, too).

I also think Tom Hardy would've been an amazing 47 but he's already Sam Fisher now, so, bleh.

Vin Diesel is too big for stealth lol.

Tom Hardy is too many action heroes already.

Really?

The only ones I know off the top of my head are:

Bane from Dark Knight Rises
Eames from Inception
and Mad Max from the yet to be released Mad Max movie.

The other roles he's done, he's just been a military dude really. He's definitely a talented guy, but he doesn't quite have the look of Hitman.

And now Sam Fisher.

But in my opinion he doesn't have the look for hard nosed action heroes, which is why I say he's done too many already. Mad Max? No way. The guy just looks way too friendly. I can see him doing romantic comedies or something, but I can't buy him has a bad ass, especially not when it's an already established character.

That's personal preference of course, I'm obviously in the minority.

He was badass in Bronson. Great film.

I saw that too, and had the same problem. It was a good movie for sure, but through every act of ultra violence and craziness Tom Hardy still looks like a baby faced nice guy.

Tom Hardy comes off as a lot of things, baby faced nice guy isn't one of em. Bronson, Lawless, Warrior and of course Rises all prove otherwise.

I disagree, none of those prove anything.

But as I said, I'm obviously in the minority.

Hardy would make a great Agent 47! sign him up.

Got this game, loving it so far.

No I never played any of the previous Hitman games on PC , I played Max Payne 1 couple of times years ago. Its my first time for Hitman on a console.

Oh sweet. Well this is a good one to start with, i love the old games to death, but man playing the HD collection and those suckers are beginning to feel dated. Absolution is a little smaller in scale compared to the older titles and a little more forgiving, but youd be hard pressed to find a stealth based title as pure as Absolution this gen. Once you get a feel for the game, i highly recommend Purist mode. A true stealth challenge.

I'm still at the story mode played it on normal. I'm loving the graphics so beautiful to at and how you can use certain objects or look of a environment is great as well.

Purist mode is hard difficulty with no hints and no HUD.

Yeah Just at a look on the game. I don't think I make it on hard.

Hah once ya have gone through the game, i think youll be ok. I tried Purist on my first run through and just couldnt do it, but once i kinda learned the levels, putting it on purist really increased the fun.

I never thought I'd be able to do Purist Mode either, but it is possible and as Pat said, a lot of fun. I've managed the best rating (I forget what it's called) on 3-4 levels using Purist mode, and it's all because I ran through them a few times on lesser difficulties until I got it down.

Yea thats always been my fav moments of the Hitman games. Once you know the levels like the back of ur hand you REALLY feel like the worlds deadliest assassin.

I really liked this game, but I ran into the same problem that I run into with most games of this generation, which is that once I did all that I needed to in order to get all of the trophies, I didn't feel the need to go back and play the game again. Of course, this also has to do with the fact that I rent games more than I buy, so as soon as I'm done with one game, I try to get it out as fast as I can so I can get a new one in the mail.

If a game is good, ill play it 3 or 4 times. Iv lost count as to how many times iv played through Arkham Asylum and City, it has to be 8 times each. Generally the only games i wont play through multiple times are like the big sandbox games, the GTA's or Red Dead Redemption. Im the same way with films too, i swear iv watched the Avengers 15 times since its been on Blu Ray.

It's weird because I own both Arkham games, and I played Arkham Asylum twice on my brother's PS3 when it first came out, then I played it again when I finally got my own PS3 so I could get the trophies, and the only thing I need to finish is the challenge maps. But with Arkham City, I played it once, liked it, but never really went back to finish the New Game Plus and I don't really see myself going back to it anything soon.

As for games like GTA and RDR, I only play the story once, but every now and then I'll go back just to run around and do stuff. Even though I did replay GTA IV recently to get the Liberty City Minute trophy, I know I'll probably never get all of the trophies, so I just give up on trying to get the hard ones and enjoy the game for what it is.

I'm putting a spoiler because in case anyone hasn't played the game.

I didn't know you can cheat your way after read some reviews but I only used a cheat. (I was stuck at the Gun Shop) I failed to beat Lily and score I got 326. I'm a lousy shooter. Otherwise I couldn't progress

I hope we can see a Hitman movie soon.

Man, I tried that stupid shooting game probably ten times, each time more confident I could beat Lily. Just embarrassing how good she is.

There's a new Hitman movie in the works, I'm pretty sure. Paul Walker was announced to play 47.

I had a lot of trouble with it at first two, but then I realized you get more points for hitting the targets dead in the middle. I can't remember exactly how the game plays since its been a while, but I used the slow motion mark and kill thingy when there were multiple targets because you can rank up a ton of points like that. I ended up doing it a bunch of times with some different guns, but I never bothered with the Challenge that asked to do it with every gun.
