*Edit: Im not just nitpicking about things, I know in my heart it was a masterpiece, but at the same time, even as a filmmaker, the cuts left more plotholes than any film I've ever seen in my life.
What are the other plot holes in the film?
Penthouse? How did he get away? Batman landed with Rachel and then what, walked away? Wasnt Joker still up their with the guests?![]()
ummm they didn't write it into the movie so it doesn't exist...go outside and get some fresh air.
Great post. I think the biggest one is how Gordon faked his death. I'm really curious about that one. Also how batman got to the room overlooking the funeral and how Harvey escaped are also perplexing.-How Gordon faked his death
-How Bruce somehow used a fingerprint to get to a room overlooking the funeral
-How Joker escaped from the interrogation room
-Whatever happened to Lau
-WHY BATMAN DIDNT GO BACK AFTER JOKER IN PENTHOUSE
-How did Maroni and associates get released, now in nightclub
-How Harvey escapes hospital
-Why Harvey shoots driver
-How did Harvey escape flipped car, what happens to Maroni
-They showed Tumbler completely exploding, then it is intact entirely for him to escape in pod
-How was Joker somehow burning firetrucks, loading thousands of places with barrels of explosives
-Why didnt ferry people realize they were sitting on explosives
Ok now listen. I REALIZE all these elements AREN'T NECESSARY to be in the film, and I also realize many things were cut to save time. All I am saying with these gripes are "Man it would've been nice to see these parts" rather than "These parts were missing, the film sucks". I loved the film, Im merely saying parts I would've LIKED to see. Just as one poster says that car scene was in the film of Joker leaving penthouse, it just got CUT. Therefore, him escaping WAS thought of in the script, probably just some WB exec figured that was something to cut because it wasnt absolutely necessary. Film was a masterpiece ya'll, I really wish you'd stop calling me an idiot and such, im just posing some questions.

I think the address belonged to the guy it matched. I'm not sure, which is why I'm watching it again.-How Bruce somehow used a fingerprint to get to a room overlooking the funeral
He took that cop hostage with a large shard of glass. Joker is sitting right below the spot where Batman threw him into the one-way mirror, so he baited that cop and took a large shard of glass as a weapon to threaten him with.-How Joker escaped from the interrogation room
After Joker set off that bomb at MCU, he goes over and takes Lau away. You see Lau later being tied up on top of that pile of cash, then you assume he's burned alive along with the cash. They don't believe they show it, probably because of the rating? One person being burned by fire is probably enough.-Whatever happened to Lau
Batman has fallacies, and Rachel was in the most immediate danger, so he went after her. I dunno, it didn't occur to me until after the film ended and I went home, LOL.-WHY BATMAN DIDNT GO BACK AFTER JOKER IN PENTHOUSE
After the whole Rossi thing, they probably declared a mistrial or what have you.-How did Maroni and associates get released, now in nightclub
He flipped the coin for the driver and it landed scarred side up. Why else?-Why Harvey shoots driver
From what I saw, the back end of the Tumbler was beyond hope, but the front end was pretty much intact.-They showed Tumbler completely exploding, then it is intact entirely for him to escape in pod
Now, this is the stuff that people have to assume is possible in the world of this movie, just like it's possible for Bruce Wayne to go out at night and beat up criminals for months (sans gun) without getting killed.-How was Joker somehow burning firetrucks, loading thousands of places with barrels of explosives
-Why didnt ferry people realize they were sitting on explosives
Cool cool. One question, was the guy whose fingerprint was found, also the guy who had the apartment by the funeral, was he the guy Dent interrogated?

I don't consider the below "plot holes". These are simple things you just missed on your first viewing (and some that I missed) that you'll catch with repeat viewings.
This scene happened so fast. I was trying to follow along but then when they showed Joker in the crowd, forget it. I had to read the novel to figure it out and it'll make sense in a second viewing. The Joker and his men killed those two men in the apartment and there was a bullet in the wall. Bruce did his detective work and matched the fingerprint to a man who's apartment happened to overlook the parade that the Mayor (and next Joker victim) was participating in.
Actually I have problems with all those scenes, there where soo many times where the joker could have been either captured or killed, but no one moved a fingerOk so let me get this straight; The Joker robs a bank in the middle of the day and drives off in a school bus full of the mob's money. He walks into a meeting of Gotham's most dangerous mob bosses, kills a guy, and walks out while basically insulting them the entire time. He escapes from jail despite being surrounded by police officers with their guns drawn. He does all of this, and you are complaining because you didn't get to see how he escapes from a room full of unarmed, terrified citizens? Give me a break.
You guys know this is The Joker we're talking about, right? He obviously has a knack for escaping sticky situations, do we really need to see it every time?
My only problem is that when Batman caught rachael, the justr continued falling and landed on a car. Hello broken bones/spine/neck/dead?
Because he's the Joker.Actually I have problems with all those scenes, there where soo many times where the joker could have been either captured or killed, but no one moved a finger![]()
Well he gets away from the bank robbery by pulling out into the middle of a bunch of other buses, granted his bus didn't have any kids in it which would have been suspicious but since all of the buses were together I'm guessing they were just beginning their routes which means that probably none of the buses had kids in them. As far as escaping the mob meeting, well he had one finger on a string that was attached to the pin of a grenade, and had some other explosives strapped to the inside of his jacket as well. What could you really do about that? And for escaping the jail, he was holding a guy hostage, nobody was going to try and shoot at him. Then when the bomb goes off he just escapes. It's not that unbelievable.Actually I have problems with all those scenes, there where soo many times where the joker could have been either captured or killed, but no one moved a finger![]()
Don't get this either. Batman and Dent didn't seem to know when Dent was interrogating one of Joker's goons, but then when Gordon comes back, they talk like it was all part of a plan.
