I Feel Like A Scumbag

Let me make it easy for you.

Age of consent in Pennsylvania is 16.

Legally, you should have no qualms for dating her.

Emotionally you are at different stages in your life.

But if you are only looking to do one thing, well hope she doesn't have any huge brothers or gun toting fathers.

Oddly enough, I am not like that. I'm more of a relationship guy. I don't like the one and done thing.

No, I wouldn't let her cheat. I am an advocate of not cheating.

Cheating emotionally is cheating. You and her obviosly had at least an emotional connection of some kind before she dumped him, or she wouldn't have dumped him FOR YOU. Shows her character... you should be careful.

And again, if it were your daughter, you'd be fine with it? Have fun at prom.

1 to 2 years of age difference in a relationship is 100x easier.
Everything happens for a reason, though.

4 years isn't too much, but your trouble is, it's the WRONG four years. If she was 20 and you were 24, it wouldn't be any big deal. I would check the statuatory rape laws, and if she doesn't meet the age of consent, I suggest you keep it at second base until she is

I agree. Stay away from underage. If you like her then wait until it is legal.

Think about this. You will be 21 next year. I know it's a year away but for someone who's into relationships, it'd be hard having an underage high schooler with you. Unless she looks old for her age or has a very good fake id.

I knew her ex boyfriend. He was a *******/bigger a**hole than me. At least I treat her with respect. He didn't. Maybe it was a good thing that I'm there for her now?

Isn't part of the attraction of younger girls, the whole undamaged goods thing? And she is most likely damaged, wow I sound like a chauvanist! But if your going for younger people, you may as well be a cherry picker, it makes it more 'special'.

I don't have an attraction to younger girls, dammit. The girl I was involved with before her was 19.

Wow.

Yeah, stay with her. I think it's pretty apparant that you're on the same level as her, not the other way around. I feel really sorry for teens today, I really do.

Just bringing in more people in this world who have no respect for anyone else but themselves. If you really wanted to treat her with respect, you'd respect her parents. But you don't. That's the problem with this world, too many boys and not enough men.

Again, have fun at prom... and with the rest of your "future" together.

I'm on your side here, I say go for it, otherwise you'll think, well what if...

I just like cherry picking, lol. I think it adds a special 'first experience' for them, which makes the whole relationship more special, and also I don't want diseases or loosey goosey, lol. (yes I do like the film kids, lol)

If her parents asked me not to see her anymore, I'd probably respect that. But they haven't. So what's the deal?

I agree with you as well here. I would date the girl, but out of respect, I'm not mr one night stand, I'm mister massive long relationship. I don't see the point of a relationship with someone you don't care about, so I think it's possible to date her, and be respectful to her and her parents, as long as it's a cerebral thing. Then again, my mind is from the forties i think...

hahahaha....

What about your OWN integrity? You have some kind of "deal" about it, or you wouldn't have brought it up. But instead of doing the REAL honorable thing, like letting her be a 16 year old girl, you're trying to show what a "man" you can be. You deeply care for her? Whoopty doo, do you live on Dawson's Creek?

God, 20 years old, a supposed "adult". What a cryin' shame. Why in the world would you want to deal with a little girl when you could have an actual adult with goals and a life that is a little more on track then deciding what her next shade of lipgloss should be and if her, ya know, like, friends 'n stuff, are gonna invite her to the next sleepover?

Unless, of course, you're on the same level with her, not vice-versa. You go to college with people that wanna still wish they were back in high school? Or do you even go to college? Probably not, because most guys 2 whole years away from high school have no interest going backwards in life or staying stagnant. Unless they still live at home, work a part time job, and have no direction. Wonder which one you are?

Not to get on your case (too late), but you're ****ing up 2 lives here, and for what? Sad, dude, just sad.

Give him a break he COULD be a gentleman (although some of the statements in this thread detract from that(no offence)), it is possible, but we don't know the people involved, I think it' wrong to just say no. I think there are circumstances where this would work well, I think we don't know enough about it, although from what we do know, I think your right with the whole life screwing, after all, if he really cared, he wouldn't need to ask people from around the world on a superhero forum website...:hellboy:

Like I said, I just wanted some opinions on it. It wasn't really going to affect my decision.

Also like I said, I am indeed a man but I act nothing like one. I still make dirty jokes, laugh at a good fart, play video games, etc.

And also, thank you so much for reading my mind as well as hers, I had no idea you were psychic! :D I also loveeeee how you know exactly what she does, based on your cliche views. She is going to be 17 in a few months, not 12. Are you ******ed or something? Sleepovers, bah!

I got to an art college in Philadelphia. I live with my parents because only a sucker lives at a college in which he lives in the same city. I am a graphic design major and already make money making designs for local bands/restaurants/anybody who needs them. So....Which one am I? A guy who likes a girl because she interests him, she's gorgeous, and she could use a guy who actually treats her right? Or am I some low life with no direction in life and just looking to prey on little girls and f**king up their lives?

Nad, dude, just sad.

Sure is.

Men do all those things, and still manage to pony up to responsibility and have integrity, if they give a damn about anything but themselves. You can't "be" a man and claim to "act like" something else. You either are, or you aren't.

AHH! NOW it makes sense. Art college. Say no more.

If you're 16 year old daughter was seeing, dating, making out with a 20 year old adult , would you be ok with it?
