I hope your female because I think I'm in love.Totally not offended. I have very thick skin... or hide rather. I didn't reply to that as once I get started, it'll turn to spamming. I'm very good at spamming. As for my gender, I'll let you figure that out on your own.
If you can, try to hold on to your present job until you get a new one. Do you give to give advance notice before you quit?
have you ever met someone with alzheimer's? that's not a sarcastic question. It can be really heart breaking. The guy should be put in prison and I would never want that to happen to anyone, but it's still funny that someone would have just enough memory to remember that they want a new car, but not enough to remember that they bought one just yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that, etc.
I find it hard to believe.
funny story, Metamorpho . . . I went car shopping yesterday . . . would you sell me the '06 Toyota Corolla, or the '07 Mazda6?
Giving advance notice at a car lot isn't the best thing. I've seen a couple of guys do it and the next day, the manager comes by and tells them to pack up their stuff and go on home.
I'd take the Mazda over the Corolla. Toyota is notorious for recalls. Plus, lots of people don't know this, but about 40% of what's under the hood of Toyotas is from General Motors.
seriously? I thought it was the other way around . . . and I heard the Mazda is a real gas guzzler . . . and doesn't handle good in the snow which is a factor for me . . . but goddam, that Mazda is so pretty
I have a Grand Am now, and I've had nothing but problems w/ it, so I figured a Toyota would be the more economic route, especially for gas; although it's less exciting than the Mazda (I also drive A LOT, so I can't be wasting gas)
Yes.have you ever met someone with alzheimer's? that's not a sarcastic question. It can be really heart breaking.
It's not necessary, but it does show professionalism and may leave a door open if you ever intend to go back to that job.
Mazda has come a long way. Be sure to check Saturn, they have some great products too. I work for a Chevy store, so I'll say give them a shot too. Chevy makes a really good product. When you work with a certain car everyday, you start to see what's good about it.
what's ironic is I used to have a Chevy Prism, which is basically a Toyota Corolla . . . I was leasing it but went way over my miles so I decided to trade it in, only I ended up getting a piece of garbage . . . should have stuck it out and bought the car outright after the lease term
If you're looking for good quality gas saver, check out the Chevy Cobalt LT. Sorry, once I go into selling mode, it's hard for me to slow down. The Cobalt has the most standard horsepower in it's class and it's got really good gas mileage. You can also get it for under 15000 brand new fully loaded with leather and Onstar.
I hope so too as I'd hate to be the one to break your heart.I hope your female because I think I'm in love.
I've never owned a Chevy but I've driven the Cavalier. It's alright. I am driving a 2006 Ford Mustang now but I might want to trade it for the new Dodge Charger. I think Dodge is a better product than Ford.Mazda has come a long way. Be sure to check Saturn, they have some great products too. I work for a Chevy store, so I'll say give them a shot too. My Mustang will be paid off next year and I'm thinking of keeping it and buy the Charger as a second car. If I can afford it.
I'm curious Metamorpho, why did you make this thread?
Was it to see if others agree that God is telling you something, or what?
I know this may be car-racist, but I'm really not going to buy another American car for a WHILE . . . I really had my sights set on a Honda, but I don't think they'll really take my car as a trade in at a Honda dealer (especially for what this other dealer has already offered me) . . . goddam, this car has depreciated so fast it's not even funny . . . I just need to get rid of it, so I feel like my options are a bit limited
Make sure you ask the sales consultant for the trade in invoice. What they're showing you on paper may not be actually what they're offering. It's called "Showing" so much money when they're actually holding a good bit of it back for themselves.
But what SONGS!?!One day I opened a magazine, a totally different magazine, a piece of mail, and they all mentioned iPods.
Then, I saw a bus with a giant iPod ad on the side, WHILE I was reading an iPod ad in the magazine in my hands.
I think God wants me to buy an iPod.
Well, it's really not up to us. Don't let what we say influence you. It's all up to your faith and choices. So pray about it, maybe talk with your family/pastor, then decide.Well, I've been on the hype for a while since it was just Spider-Manhype.com and some of you guys have been here as long and you guys seem to have some good insight into some stuff. While I may not agree with some of your philosophies, you guys tend to offer good advice.
thanks for the tips . . . we just went through a basic rundown of my situation . . . I still owe like $8300 on my car, and they'll give me $5k for trade in . . . the last time I looked into trading in my car, the dealer tried to lowball the piss out of me, so I figure this is the best time and way for me to get ahead . . .
I would have definitely went through all the paperwork before making such a big decision, but like I said we just went through the basics, so I have some serious face to put on tomorrow . . .
