Incredible Hulk director has been picked!

Jonathan Hensleigh wrote one of the s**test Hulk scripts ever, he should not be anywhere near the next film. Sommers sucks even more ass, and Zak Penn is doing something else.
I didn't know Hensleigh's script was that bad.

Penn is directing a comedy called The Grand which takes only a month to shoot this summmer. He'll have more than enough time to straight in to Hulk.

Yeah I know other people have written and directed great films but we are talking big budget here like Goyer had. I just think it is too much for one guy. Well maybe not Spielberg. :)

Hensleigh has been focusing on a few projects not just the Punisher 2. And it seems more like the studio that is holding the sequel back not Hensleigh.

And your fired for mentioning you know who. :o

Well I don't know if Sava read the actual script but the script review and it was pretty brutal.

Maybe thats the guy they got? Explains why Indy 4 has been pushed back for another year.:p

They seem more focused on making Saw movies than Punisher. From a business perspective i can say that i blame them.

Spielberg doing the Hulk. MMMMMM Yummy. Hey...he has worked with Bana...so who knows.

Well I am just saying Hensleigh has been working on the script and Jane too seems excited to get back into the role. But the studio is hobknobbing around with it. Seems like it will be in limbo for a while.

And here is the link to the script reviews.

Johnathan Mostow is my pick for this, he is good with action scenes and effects.

Nice choice.

Wow I am salivating over Spielberg. That would just make me cream my pants if he signed on.

I have a sneaking feeling we will get the Night Watch guy.

Edit: I was wondering why some of that word was blanked out, talk about being too much on the ball SHH

I almost rented Night Watch last night. How good is that?

Never seen it, my brother said it was crap, but he doesnt like subtitled movies, i think it looks awesome.

Nothing, the mods just blanked out the middle of the whole word because there is a swear word in the middle, type out Night Watch, all together and see.

oh, i really hope its him

I just hope they dont put this up against the BB or Narnia sequel in '08, both of those had good, solid and successful first movies and so will most likely make BIG sums of money. If BB2 and Narnia 2 are as good as their predecessors Hulk2 will struggle

THey just need to get H2 ready, i doubt they will put it up against anything big

What directors are attached to Universal with first look deals. Uni's the distributor so I'm sure Marvel gives them first chance like Paramount did w/Iron Man. Imagine it was Ang Lee again. I really wouldn't mind that if he knew exactly how to make a real hero action film. Not sure if he can. Michael Bay really stands out as being able to lighten up the tone and The Island proved he can make a smart & fun film. With Transformers wrapping up he'd have time to do it before a 2008/2009 release. It'd be tight though. Ridley is wayyyyyyy to busy to come close to it. Del Toro has time. Fincher has time.
The island was smart and fun?

Yeah I thought the Island was a smart and very fun film. Reminded me of Anthem quite a bit or a futuristic midnight express. It was two separte stories. One before they know who and where they are and one after. It had meat to it unlike his prior films. That's a step up for Bay. The characters were perfect IMO and the intensity was always there. I thought only one of the scenes was a bit too over the top when they fall down the side of the buidling on that sign. The second half reminded me a bit of understory of Blade Runner as they were bascially tools for humans and had a limited lifespan. I loved it.

What about Peter Jackson?

A Peter Jackson Thor would be awesome. I thought he hacked up King Kong and went a bit nutty on that one. I would hate to see a Hulk film where he fills it up with pointless action scenes that don't contriubte at all to the plot...like Kong. Jackson has the skills for sure to do it though.
