Did they take the samples down? I go to the site and there are no samples. Just a tracklist.

In the tracklist, just hit "Reinhoren" next to each track title.

Wow, much longer than QoS anyway, more like CR length, which I'm happy about, would rather have a movie be too long than too short.

Agreed. IMO certain movies that last 2 hours and 20 minutes are already classics/ worth your money

Avengers
Skyfall
The dark knight rises

Don't get me started on 90 minute movies

What's wrong with 90 minutes movies if they're good? I agree that I wouldn't want a Bond movie to be 90 minutes but there are some good 90 minute movies, though most of them are animated or independent.

To me, whenever I think of 90 minute movies, especially ones that are hyped up to be big blockbuster films with a lot going on, I think of movies that feel rushed right from the start.

But you're right, there's nothing wrong with a short movie as long as it's good and the most is made out of those 90 minutes.

Some movies benefit from being short, in most cases comedies.

For example, I thought the Five Year Engagement was very funny but they could have cut 20-30 minutes to streamline it.

Most comedies are unwise to try to push on longer than 100 minutes. I'm indiffernt to Skyfall running 2.5 hours. Okay, it's however many minutes longer than this one, however many minutes shorter than that one; that doesn't make me more eager to call it a great movie. I also feel a real need to temper my expectations, as I always try to do. This one looks great, I hope it is great, but it's not November 9 yet. And I'm not so sure its place as one of the longest is a good thing, as a bunch of the Bond movies tend to run too long, whether it's by five minutes or ten or more. We'll see.

The big budget movies typically run longer because there is so much more content in it. The scope of big budget movies usually outweight the 90 minutes timeframe.

Glad we are getting a longer movie this time.

Quantum of Solace was IMHO a little unfulfilling and left too many loose ends.

Like what I said before, QoS felt so inconsequential because it never resolved or even explained anything 'Quantum'. Just a blurb at the end. Really? That's just bad story telling. If you're going to have a 'mystery', you still need to feed the audience some clues. Enough to satisfy them without spoiling everything.

There was a scene filmed where Bond found Mr. White and its inside Mr. Whites house. Bond is questioning him about Quantum. In that scene you learn a little more about the organization, anf if im not mistake he kills Mr. White after they finish talking. However this scene was cut. You can find a picture from the scene online. Its Mr. White setting in an armchair in a dark room.

Oh yeah. But it's not enough, man. It's information that we kinda knew from Casino Royale.

QoS is not about Quantum though, it is about Bond coming to peace with his love for Vesper and his anger and sorrow at her loss.

Maybe I just don't think there was enough in QoS that resinates with me, though it's far from the worse in the series. At least it's not boring which is my beef with the worse Bond movies. Even with the okay Bond movies, like The Living Daylights, the pacing slows down too much in some parts.

I never really got the sense that Quantum of Solace was too short. There were many other problems with that film, but Bond doesn't really need to be long. If anything, I thought Casino Royale was a little too long.

The so-called Holy Trinity of Bond films (Dr. No, From Russia with Love, and Goldfinger) are all under two hours.

I think You Only Live Twice is underrated though Sean was phoning it in. It does have the most iconic moments in the series, with the volcano hideout and this version of Blofeld. Arguably the best version besides Telly's.

So I bought the "Tomorrow Never Dies" blu-ray. I haven't seen it in awhile but it is still a fun action packed movie.

I kept thinking "What would Craig's Bond do?" He'd probably drown Doctor Kaufman in the tub.

The punches Brosnan throws at the print factory feel so soft. There's no hard impact.

The last 30 minutes is all devoted to stopping Carver's plan.

Thanks to the person who pointed out this unintentionally weird moment

Maybe he's look at pictures of Teri Hatcher through his phone, reminiscing about the good ole times!!!

On a more serious note, I did like that car chase scene. I hated Stamper though. It's like "Let's create a new henchmen who's specialty is being generic."

A german henchmen. How original. Maybe Stamper was supposed to be in "Die Hard with a Vengence"

He struck me as another weak attempt to emulate Red Grant, and another that forgets that Red Grant wasn't merely an Aryan brute.

i love the Q scenes in TND .. the whole dialogue with the insurance is hilarious..

Q: Will you need collision coverage?
Bond: Yes.
Q: Fire?
Bond: Probably.
Q: Property destruction?
Bond: Definitely.
Q: Personal Injury?
Bond: I hope not, but accidents do happen.

:D
