I'm with you man. Dalton will always be my favorite Bond and I always wished he got to have a better movie.
While I wish that Dalton was in more movies, and while I think he would have done well in Golden Eye, it just seems to me that that film, and that moment in time, was a really good starting point for a new Bond, the whole "post cold war" thing you know?
Looks like they are totally dropping, forgetting about all the business with Quantum from the last movie. Guess they were taken down off screen with the intel Bond gathered from Quantum of Solace. Sort of disappointing but oh well. I guess they figured it was time to move on as people were dissatisfied with how much Quantum of Solace was connected to Casino Royale.
I'm not sure if that will happen but it would be nice. If he does have to bite the dust, I think something like Doctor No's death in the novel for example would be fun to see.I really hope that Bordem's character lives through this movie. They need villains and not just an organization to continue.
Really? I thought they were just terrible. And not so bad that it's unintentionally awesome like Moonraker, just not good.
I did kind of like Goldeneye though.
*raises hand*
I like those two actually. At least I can enjoy watching them.
Yeah, Richards is really my only major issue with TWINE.
Man, I know I'm late to the party about this, but that last trailer they released was awesome! To me it feels like a classic Bond movie, and I think it's going to be one. It looks great, and I can't wait to see this. I'm so excited for this movie.

IIRC, SPECTRE was present in Dr. No and From Russia with Love, but never brought up in Goldfinger. They returned for Thunderball and continued to appear in the next three movies. My point is, even if Quantum might not be used in Skyfall, that doesn't mean they won't turn up again in future films.Looks like they are totally dropping, forgetting about all the business with Quantum from the last movie. I don't think anyone here wants to defend Die Another Day.
I think it was flawed throughout. The opening sequence in North Korea should have been exciting, but it somehow managed to be extremely boring. That sense of overblown tedium pervaded throughout. It reminds me of Peter Jackson's "King Kong".I actually agree. I won't say that it is great or anything, but outside of Madonna, Berry, and the ridiculous diamond face changing stuff, there is actually an pretty okay film going on with Die Another Day before they get to Iceland. Once in Iceland, Rosamund Pike is literally the only good thing. Everything else ranges from terrible to some of the worst crap I have ever seen.
