Hehe, we'll see. I love that this movie seems to be a real mystery so far. I want this movie to do for me as a Spider-Man fan as Star Trek Into Darkness did to me as a Trekkie.

Khan was great. Let's hope Electro is up there.

I don't think Electro will be as good as Khan, but its hard to say since we haven't seen much of him yet. Maybe Peter Parker will yell out, "ELEECTROOOOOOOOOOOO!"

The biggest issue for me about ASM was the lackluster villain--not the overall design but more the fact that Connors wasn't developed enough and the pacing was rushed. To improve on this I think they need to first make us care about Max which imo is all on the script. Second, Electro needs to be a successful villain--one that is memorable and powerful. That imo lands on the shoulders of Foxx.

Well I think Jamie Foxx can work well with what he is given, so as long as the script is good, he will do fine. :)

I think the fight scenes are going to suck big time....it will be just him throwing lightening bolts & balls, and Spidey dodging them, with Electro blowing up ****, and Spidey bating him into a trap. Electro won't throwing any punches, nor grabbing, slingging, or tossing anyone around. It will be just Electro throwing bolts and Spidey throwing things. I want to see a Jackie Chan fight scene with some element of a video game like StreetFighter, when using their power in the mist of fighting, catching them off guard.

You all know whating I'm trying to say?

To be fair, all Spiderman has is web shooters. I'm also pretty tired of this whole "The hero needs to win, because the plot requires him to." If they're gonna do that, then make it convincing.

Also, Street Fighter had sucked since Third Strike... Just sayin'.

I'm taking about the second video game...how you can use your power in the mist of fighting, and not just stand there using it without actually fighting; yet, I want action pack fighting like Jackie Chan fast paste style. Similar to Spidey & DocOck fight scene...non-stop, very few pauses, if any.

You took the words right out of my mouth
I will give anything to see a Spider-man with brawls like that.
Basic close quarter combat with semi-martial arts.Coupling them with the use of superpowers like wall crawling and web-throwing.Orgasmic
This is why I look forward to Venom
I half wanted Jackie Chan as the action/stunt choreographer in TASM!!

They had the chance to make it happen with the Lizard since his powers are so similar to Spidey but they blew it

I am worried about the fight scenes in TASM2 because they are supposedly making Electro really powerful,God-like.Which means Spider-man cannot touch him.
I just hope it doesn't become a dodge-hide kinda fight
But we have that chase scene with the OSCORP truck and the fight with RHINO so we'll be fine.Maybe a fight with Goblin aswell

Don't think the fights are going to suck big time just because you assume we will only have Spider-Man dodging lightning bolts. So if he can't touch Electro, he is probably going to find a way to make himself not conduct electricity (Electro Proof Costume like in the comics perhaps?)

I'm sure Marc Webb isn't going to just have Spidey dodging Electro and take the lazy way out. He's more creative than that.

Its one thing to be concerned, its another to just assume its going to suck big time.

I think maybe the first fight could involve just Peter dodging Electro's bolts, that's a possibility. But as I suggested in my above post, he probably "electro-proofs" his costume or figures out a way to touch him like in the comics.

I don't think the "Electro-proof" costume would look exactly like this, it would probably better resemble the classic one they have given us.

Seems like Electro's gonna be a lot like Syndrome from the Incredibles, forming an attachment to and wanting to partner up with the hero, before the rejection, mental state, and new power combine for him to want to destroy him.

I really wanna see how Peter will manage to defeat Electro. Webb is making it sound like Max is gonna be Spidey's toughest challenge yet.

He also believes this street fighter and Jackie chan mentality.... Which actually sucks. Street fighter third strike sucks, street fighter 4 (all of its versions) sucks, marvel vs Capcom 3 (and ultimate) sucks, street fighter x tekken sucks, and just about everything Capcom is making now sucks. You want fights in the moon? Merry Christmas!

Street Fighter kind of fights? What? Does he mean super attacks anime style? If that case: hell no!

But yeah, I do think the best fights are when they can go hand to hand. But Electro seems to be a great villain in this film so I'm not complaining.

In the Ultimate Spider-Man video game, you fight Electro as Venom in the middle of times square. In order to defeat him, you have to throw cars at him to weaken him, then attack before he recharges.

Spidey can't really lift cars and toss them, but maybe he can throw smaller objects at Electro? Maybe use his webbing as a sling-shot to attack?

or Ground him and try to drain his power then beat him before he recharges

Yeah. Whichever it is, I'm sure the fights will be awesome.

Like a sewer cover? Or maybe a hot dog cart, lol.

I'm really looking forward to hearing all of Spidey's humor especially when it comes to the fights with Electro. It was a very cool idea that Webb sat down with a bunch of comedians to come up with various quips and jokes for Spidey to hurl at the villains.

where did you read this? that's incredible if true.

It was in one of the interviews I believe.

In TASM, the writer of Bridesmaids wrote the hallway scene with Gwen and Peter talking.

It was from one of the SDCC interviews with Marc. I'm not sure which one otherwise I would glady link it for you. You can search the CC footage thread...I think it's posted there. At one point the interviewer made a remark about Patton Oswalt being one of the comedians that they used and after a pause Marc says something like "Patton is a comical genius."

Electro's powers are supposed to be "godlike" in the film, so I doubt that he is just going to be shooting lightning bolts. Also, Electro isn't the villain to have a knock down drag out fight with, he is the type of villain that you use your intelligence/scientific knowledge to beat. I really liked the actions scenes in the first film, so I'm interested to see them in this one.

Agreed. I wonder if Spider-Man charging his webshooters has anything to do with fighting Electro?
