Both TWS and TDK are much more shallow on ALL levels than most fans will ever admit to. Sorry, but that's as I've always seen it.
According to some Marvel fans The Winter Soldier was a political thriller. I don't know what that says about DC.
If they were really Marvel fans then they'd know heaps of Marvel stories have had political thriller themes. Same with DC.
Political thriller THEMES. That doesn't mean the film is a full on political thriller.

Nice!Excellent.

More like most fans don't see them as shallow because they ain't.
i agree that the are both shallow, most of Nolans recent movies are all surface with nothing of note below, he's a good ideas man, but they get lost along the way. His movies seems to think they are smarter than they are.
his movie's are to the general population what Sweet Sour Pork and Honey Chicken are to people who think they're eating traditional chinese food.
His last good movie to me was the Prestige, and even that had 3rd act problems. Nolan is not someone who does subtle, so his dialogue is always clunky or sentimental.
TDK was overlong, tedious, and i remember thinking at the time, this is not a movie i want to sit through again. Not slighting the performances of course. Those were fantastic, Eckhart was very overlooked
TDKR was just a pile of crap, to many things wrong with the Writing and Editing, turns out batman had only been batman for like 18 months or so, bane was just a lackey in the end, bruce getting a happy ending, the whole "Robin" scene. Just as bad as "call me Cat" on Gotham. Just pandering to stupid people.
but in the end if other people enjoy his movies that's great, but I've given up after interstellar.
Typical lame argument that tries to say actual brilliant movies have fooled a lot of people into thinking they're brilliant when they're not really. You're basically just calling millions of people stupid and easily fooled.
Suicide Squad will be really fortunate to be as deep and as good as Winter Soldier or Dark Knight, and as successful as them too. I ain't just talking about with the fans.
The only thing you got right there was the fantastic performances and Eckhart is underrated. The rest nope sorry.
No if people enjoy it. People do enjoy his movies and see them for the brilliant movies they are. That's why he's like one of the most popular directors today. A guy that popular always gets some small grumbles from people like you who try and call his brilliant flicks frauds that dupe audiences.
I'm sure his directing career will continue to thrive without your support.

That's how I would want to see Joker. not too exaggerated on prosthetics and make-up.
I'd only change the perma smile tho.
