Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 3

And that's something that is so unsettlingly about it. He looks like a thug. The Joker isn't a thug, he's the one who orders thugs around. With this, he looks like someone who should be working for The Joker, but not the actual Goddamn Joker.
Again, I agree.

Not digging the look. I was hoping for something more traditional after we got Ledger's version. My ideal version would be the Arkham Origins Joker. Pretty flawless in my eyes.

Anarchism is a very specific thing. Simply wanting to upset the established order does not automatically make you an anarchist. There are other criteria. You know who else wants to upset the established order? Every terrorist and arsonist ever. Bin Laden wanted to upset the established order, and he was sooooooo not an anarchist.

No Permawhite. No Red Hood falling into chemicals. That's the way I interpret it :hehe:

But it's true, they could be a modernised, tougher gang.

I said many pages ago, if one were shown the pic with no knowledge of who was directing the film, the look is a surprise. But, when you find out it's Ayer's Joker, it makes sense due to the types of films he's made. WB and Snyder just happen to be cool with it.

Also not true.

No, actually, both words and both of those definitions are outdated medical terms that are no longer used by psychologists. "Anti-social personality disorder," as it is now called, is recognized and a complex spectrum of behavioral and dissociative disorders with many possible neurological and environmental causes based on the individual subject's case.

Ehh, close enough.

No you're not. He looks like a punk rocker from a Joker themed band, or a punk goon from the Jokerz gang in Batman Beyond.

Yeah some sort of "tribute band" lead singer.

"What's up Cleveland, we're the Why So Seriouses!"

By the way, if you are going to get a tattoo on your forehead, write it backwards.

I love it because it is different from every other Joker yet is still familiar to me imo.

This design is something you would expect from a Rob Zombie film.

Its the kinda design that 13 year old goth girls are gonna go nuts for.

I wonder how much of it was Leto's input.

That's what I loved most about Nolan/Ledger. He had ultimate faith in Heath and let him go...

The Joker diary he wrote, the week long hotel stay where he bought thrift store/makeup and made his own rough draft of the joker smear-paint, the grunge style all were influenced by Heath. Since day one, those two were bouncing off each other, and they created something so magical and great.

I'd pay anything to read his diary in full...

I think even Zombie would make the tattoo's look at least aged or dirtier. The tattoo's look way too "professional." Those aren't the tattoos of a deranged man. Those are the tattoo's of a dip**** who has made repeated trips to his local tattoo artist in an attempt to appear edgy.

I like that it looks bold and like a new take through and through. I can still imagine him being his regular crazy, cruel, cackling self. Nothing here takes away from that.

I dislike how self-aware it makes him. It's not just this little acknowledgment that he likes to laugh and he's crazy. He's literally pasted his personality traits all over himself. Although I suppose that's always been him. A purple suit is as self-aware as a tacky tattoo. Just more on the nose.

Lmao...speaking of trying to appear edgy...
