Anyone else get a Dafoe Green Goblin vibe from Letos brief laugh in the trailer?

^ Didn't think about it until now but yeah, he does kind of sound like Dafoe when he laughs.

The more I watch the trailer, I'm slowly warming up to this new interpretation, just hope it doesn't disappoint when it's all said and done.

A psycho killer, dyes his hair green, puts on red lipstick, paints his face and body white and one night on a "mission" falls in a vat of chemicals and voila! His "wish" comes true - he's now permanently white. The reason I say this is because in all the other shots I see shades of his natural skin tone, but, hey I know it might just be the lighting. I'm just sharing my thoughts on it, because for me he looks different in those images above.

In the torture scene from the trailer, Joker is seen in a low-lit room, the lighting (as with most indoor bulbs) has a yellow cast... hence his white skin appearing a warmer colour.
Whereas in the factory scene he is in harsh, fluorescent lighting - giving off a blue cast, making his skin appear very bright white.
I feel that the actual colour will be somewhere in-between... not fully 'chalk white' as in the comics, but certainly noticeably so.
Also, I don't think they'll go with the angle that the chemical dip actually turns his hair green, but rather it just bleaches skin and hair, so afterward he dies it.

I hope we do get a new version of the 'origin' and hope we see the Red Hood... I have faith David Ayre will give us a brilliant interpretation - instead of Burton's cartoony version.

A casual reader of this forum would glean two things: that this Joker is really Robin but made permawhite; and that this Joker is not actually permawhite, but flesh toned instead. So there we have it: Leto is in fact playing Jason Todd, with the addition of some tattoos.

Both parts of the trailer seem to be part of the same overall setpiece, which is another argument against the no-tattoo thing.

Some will take Jason Todd in any way shape or form as long as he's Jason Todd.

Also Jared Leto is super young looking IRL so obviously he must be playing someone young because Joker has never looked androgynous or youthful before
