This thread has veered off course. Back to the Justice League and stuff (non BDSM & transgender stuff).
t:I dunno. I'm not ready to believe it's a conspiracy just yet. Two is a small number.Did you see the part that mentions she already had a transsexual husband?
I kinda doubt it's one big coincidence that she was into two men - totally devoted to her as "slaves" - who both happened to decide to become women without any input or promission from her.
Considering the costumes superheroes wear, BDSM is relevant.t:
Yeah that's how I see it too.Yeah, no, seriously. I meant my comment as something offhand, I didn't at all mean to cause this kind of detour. I'm sorry.
On topic, if you look at how the Wachowskis have been able to adapt to the source material at hand throughout their careers, you should feel really great about having them on a JL movie. From The Matrix, to V For Vendetta to Speed Racer, to this new project they're doing, they've adapted extremely different narrative and tonal styles all while maintaining a very high level of quality in both writing and directing techniques.
I wouldn't at all think or assume that their JL movie would simply be The Matrix 4 or Speed Racer 2 - I could see them doing something totally different and unique with it, to fit with the characters at hand.
I wasn't a fan of Speed Racer however if they did JL I'd feel pretty good about it. They know action, and special effects as well as anybody in the business. If they weren't up for Justice League I'd say let them do Batman too. However I've never seen them do ensemble before which I suppose is different.
Indeed.A JL movie will be looked at as TA clone especially if it comes out the same year as Avengers 2 which is what WB seems to be planning .Couldn't agree more. I think a Trinity film is a much better long-term strategy than JL, and it gives them a better point of difference from The Avengers. A lot of the general moviegoing public will look at JL as a bit of an Avengers clone by the time it comes out.
Id agree with you but the Trinity movie already has the rsponsibility of introducing a rebooted Batman-which may or may not piss people off.I just dont think it would be a good idea of putting the additional burdenof introducing WW to the audience into a Trinity movie..But I'd switch around Wonder Woman and Trinity. They've always struggled with Diana as a studio. Using Trinity to introduce her is a better strategy.
Meanwhile, the top contenders to take on the project are reportedly the Wachowskis, whose work on Cloud Atlas was reportedly good enough to convince Warner Bros. that they can handle a crazy, multi-character, big-budget blockbuster, even if their post-Matrix track record hasn't been all that great (give or take our well-documented love of Speed Racer). The Wachowskis have at various points been connected to a Plastic Man and one of the many failed attempts to reboot the Superman franchise, although it's an open question how much they would want to go back to the studio system after the probably much freer rein they had on Cloud Atlas.

They obviously want someone that can recreate in a sense what Whedon did, but you need someone that KNOWS these characters and their dynamics over the years. They don't have to be experts, but they should have some knowledge about how each of them have interacted in the various JL incarnations over the decades and just take bits and pieces from them. Like we know one of the mainstays has always been that Batman is viewed as a valuable intellectual member of the team but at the same time some of them don't like how paranoid or standoffish he can get in regards to things.
Frankly what they did with the fights and flying in Matrix is pretty much what we all had wanted from a Superman or any superhuman live action fight ever.
There was a good deal of Dragonball Z there too.Yep, pretty much. The final fight against the Agent in Revolutions was pure Superman.

There was a good deal of Dragonball Z there too.
When I first seen Revolutons in theaters and the final fight the first thought that came to my mind was "THEY CAN FINALLY MAKE A LIVE ACTION DBZ!!!!!!!!".......There was a good deal of Dragonball Z there too.
