If JL is exclusive. Has nothing to do with MOS or any future Bat-solos, then i won't mind Hammer for Batman. Then we can get a seasoned Bats (Fassbender? Hamm?) for a few Batman movies.

But Hammer as the next Batman in a shared universe that spreads over 1 or 2 JL's & solo movies??? HELL NO.

Anyone else wonder if a continuity separate from MOS would be down to Cavill's contract? Up until recently MOS has been talked about as being it's own universe, what if Cavill was signed for multiple Superman films only?

I don't think the GA wou'd care tbh whether it's in continuity with the solo franchises or not. I think superhero fans don't realise that the GA aren't bothered by this sort of stuff if its good they and hyped up they'll go see it.

And I think you underestimate how valuable a joint continuity can be, if executed right. In particular, having different actors playing different takes on the character means that you basically get no leverage out of your track record.

Agreed. I have no idea what people are clamoring for him in that role. Nothing Batman-esque about him at all.

As for the continuity stuff, nobody but us cares about it! It's cool that the Avengers tied together a bunch of movies, but a large portion of Avengers viewers had seen, like one or two of those movies.

My thoughts, am I far from the general consensus of you much more educated Sirs?

Shared universe launched by Man of Steel, with Batman cameo after credits.
NOT Nolan's Dark Knight, but a sepertate, older Bruce Wayne, in a less realism-grounded universe. I'd prefer an actor in the forties, at least, with a broad build and proper cheek bones.

Flash and Wonder Woman films before Justice League.
No Batman or Green Lantern movies before Justice League.
Introduce Batman in JL film, but don't bother to explain backstory other than little key details. Make Batman having been around for some years before the other heroes, and play the leading&#65279; role in the film.

Make batman a wiser character than Nolan's, and more often be the guy with full control, and an ace up his sleeve. Bale was just stubborn, and took way too much beating.
Also don't put&#65279; Batman in combat against aliens or super villains, that's not his job when he has the rest of Justice League with him. Let him be the guy that gets the intel and scares the **** out of the henchmen.

Hardly or ever use the heros' aliases seriously. Two serious adults reffering to each other as " the Green Lantern" and "the Batman" does not sound cool.

Wally West and John Stewart. (Yay, Justice League Animated, yay)

Put a respectable suit on Wonder Woman.

No Aquaman or Cyborg, at least&#65279; not to begin with. J'onn J'onzz is awesome, but should probably be spared for the sequel.
Bats, WW, Flash, GL and the boy scout should probably be enough for the first round.
Also; focus on character interaction.

Yeah, some of this is obvious and some of it is unlikely, but.. deal with it

Edguy, good post. I agree. Would love for Jon Hamm in the wiser role of Batman.

Hal/Barry or John/Wally it doesn't matter to me because i like both combos, as long as the interaction is good and the actors too.

I for one don't think the majority of the audience has a vested enough interest in superhero characters or the actors to give a damn one way or the other. I hear things like 'people will be confused' etc, well people were allegedly confused about Batman Begins being a prequel and yet they still watched it and enjoyed it, so that's an argument I frankly don't buy.
