That concept art looks great. I wish George Miller had more sense to get older actors, at least half of them wouldn't have looked like teenagers.

I wish WB would start this movie up, get a different director and get some sensible actors in the movie.

If TMOS & Cavill are amazing maybe we can get some of these rumours started up again. :csad:

^ Doubtful. Nolan made sure that, like The Dark Knight Saga, Man of Steel is set in a self-contained Universe.

It is looking that - If Justice League movie is made, it will be contained in its own universe, followed by some spin-off movies.

Yeah and I remember Snyder saying something similar. I just want an excuse to pretend there is still some life left in this.

Green Lantern shows us how bad JL:M would have been. It was the same approach. A studio script that everyone had their hands in. A director signed on after the fact (like Campbell). Mediocre cast.

I think DC should make a JLA full length CG animated movie. Not a straight to video, but a theater movie. They could style it how they want, on a scale of realistic to super cartoony. And cast whoever they want as the characters. They don't even have to look the part, or be the right age. You could cast Belluci to voice Wonder Woman, some people say she is too old for the part. You could cast an actor who is too young to voice Flash. etc. They could even use motion capture like Tin Tin. Tin Tin, Incredibles, are great examples of what the movie should be like.
And that could help launch spin offs too, show the desire for a Wonder Woman movie or tv show when the Wonder Woman merchandise keeps getting sold out. Or the Flash could get his own movie finally. (Live action for both I would imagine.)

They could also make the story as grand scale as they want. Maybe Mongol attacks Earth, using Starro he enslaves large numbers of the population, and the JLA must save the day.
You could be as elaborate as you want with the powers. Martian Manhunter could alter his shape in three different ways in 5 seconds while blasting lasers from his eyes and flying only to be stopped cold in a second by fire.

In cartoons people are more forgiving, more accepting of things looking silly. So their brightly colored costumes wouldn't look strange. Flash, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Batman could standing next to the president and guys in shirts and pants and not look silly.

Not much worry about face time I think, so you don't have to worry about Flash, GL, or Batman having to take off their masks to show the actors real faces.

And it would set it apart from the Avengers live action movie. People will be less likely to say DC was copying Marvel's Avengers with their JLA film if the movie is animated.

Writing the Script before the director is brought in has nothing to do with it.

The Script was revised just once, by George Miller, because the Mulroneys were incapacitated by the Writers' Strike.

And the cast was fine.

A JL movie only needs the four core characters. I suggest Cavill as Superman and a new actor as Batman. WW and MM are the others.

I would already have them operating for a few years so they are pretty comfortable in their roles. Batman is the main strategist and Superman the field leader. To make Batman more convincing he should operate in the dark, Supes, WW, MM go in through the frontdoor Batman always takes the backdoor.

The tone of the movie should be dark, the main antagonist should be a human. Very powerfull, maybe a high placed G-man gone bad and able to control satelites (skynet kinda thing)...

It was the same situation as Green Lantern. It was a studio script and a vision crafted by the studio, not the director. It would have turned out just as bad.

Aside from maybe Common as GL, the cast was really bad.

DJ Cotrona as Superman? He's 5'9. Paired with a 6'5 Batman.

Adam Brody as Barry Allen?

Jay Baruchel as the main villain? Haha.

It reeked of the people in charge not knowing what they were doing.

I think the villain should be OMACs as the physical villains (like JLM), except I would just make them robots rather than the virus idea, while Amanda Waller and Maxwell Lord are the ones pulling the strings (Waller primarily)

There are still only rumours at this stage. Unlike Marvel Studios, DCE doesn't have a studio and WB doesn't need to make superhero movies, they've got other franchises, Man of Steel, Batman, The Hobbit, Sherlock Holmes, Hangover.

If WB want to put a movie out and it is in development, I'd expect it for 2016.

a bats that was almost a foot taller than supes would have looked ridiculous, and while i don't think that this would have been as much a success x-men first class turned out to be, every time i here about this movie i get the same sense of vitriol that xmen first class got. not to necessarily compare that two since first class had some acting talent on it for sure and that jl film cast aside from hammer looks meh.

i think it would have been interesting to say the least. no one looks away from car crashes.

The Martian Manhunter is no longer a member of the Justice League. It's core members are Superman, Batman and Wonder-Woman, with The Flash and Green Lantern being essential as well. Aquaman, Cyborg, Green Arrow and others could wait.

A human villain could be a good idea, but it's impossible to have a "dark" Justice League. Sure, they shouldn't be cheesy, but they need to know the balance between the seriousness and lightheartedness.

I agree. But Waller isn't exactly villanous as she is manipulative and extremist. Lord should be the one pulling the strings, in my opinion.

why?

Its a movie they can change a persons height

its easy to second guess things...i seem to recall a lot of people upset that Ledger was cast as Joker before they started filming TDK

The only cast members in Justice League I knew were Hammer, Brody, Yelchin, and Common. I was cool with all of them. Baruchel? Not so much.

A 6'5 Batman....a master of stealth!

Jay Baruchel as a guy you wouldn't expect to be the villain sounds fine to me.
