Hammer has the superhero face. Before the roles were take, I could see him as Superman and Captain America. And there is of course Batmanm, which he had.

I am not sure if I could see Armie Hammer as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Then again, I haven't seen him in many of his roles. I think he could do a young Bruce Wayne very well, but I am not so sure about the Batman role. Batman and Bruce Wayne are essentially two roles in one, which is why I say "Bruce Wayne/Batman" instead of just "Batman". The tricky part is that Bruce Wayne is a role Batman plays to avoid suspicion. This requires a very talented actor to pull off like Christian Bale.

Armie Hammer was cast as the Lone Ranger in the new Disney film. I bring this up because I feel fairly certain that movie's release will mark the point where fan-casting Armie Hammer will become officially cool. You heard it here first!
It's amusing, isn't it? Just 2 years ago Armie was a nobody and fans were livid that he could possibly follow Bale. Now he's fresh off an Oscar-nominated Fincher flick, is filming a Clint Eastwood movie playing opposite DiCaprio, and is now going to be starring alongside Johnny Depp. Talk about a career jump.

It would be a shame if Armie gets too famous/big/busy for the role when the time comes to recast. I think he's a very solid candidate and clearly has passion for the character.

He's way too young to be batman, i dont want to see the origin again, we;ve seen it done well enough and with his age and youthful looks thats the only place i can see him fitting.

I want a fully established batman, a gritty hardcore batman and hammer is way way to youthful for that.

Personally I prefer to see Batman in his earlier years. Not Year One, but still when he's a bit inexperienced and hasnt met everyone in his career yet. Makes it more interesting to me

Speaking on Hammer, I wonder if we are ever going to get any photos from that JL movie.

I doubt any time soon, just in case they decide to pick up some elements from when the decide to do it again, those elements could very well be Hammer and the suit. (though i doubt the suit, hammer is still a possibility)

It is funny. There was so much hate for him (and his name). George Miller isn't an idiot. And look at where his skill has taken him now.

I too hopes he doesn't get too famous/big/busy to do the role. WB may still be keeping their eye on him something in the future.

I always thought he reminded me of a young BTAS Batman with his look and voice.

Half of George Miller's casting choices were actually pretty spot on. Armie Hammer, Adam Brody, Anton Yelchin, Teresa Palmer, Zoe Kazan and Stephen Tobolowsky sounded pretty good. D.J. Cotrona, Megan Gale, Common, Santiago Cabrera, Hugh-Keays Byrne and Jay Baruchel were the ones I was iffy about.

I believe the rumors were of Flash or Aquaman, I could be wrong though.

It's been confirmed that Batman will be 'reinvented' after TDKR - will he new Batman be a part of this JL continuity? And do we have any idea which characters will? Flash and WW are, plus Green Lantern references to Flash's hometown so he could exist in his continuity...

I'm not sure it could go either way, but i doubt he'll tie into the justice league. If superman and batman dont exist in the same (nolan) world (and superman is just starting) i don't think the new batman will exist in the same JLA world.

We have to remember he'll still be produced by Nolan. I think if we get a JLA movie it will be a seperate batman from the movies.

That said WB could want to go the route Marvel is with their characters.

Yeah if DC wants to make a JL movie that has the fans support they either need to see if Nolan changes his mind about shared universe or let him go.

BUt idk Im wondering if theyre just denying until they come up with a plan. Because in GL they have Amanda Waller who replaced Alan Scott. Why replace a character who is more tied into GL mythos with a character who is known for interacting with JL. Also there is a Central City cameo according to Johns. Why put that in there if there not planning something

Geoff Johns and Jim Lee plan to drop DC bombshells at Hero Complex festival

May 23, 2011 | 3:40 a.m.

Superstar comics creators Geoff Johns and Jim Lee say they are bringing bombshell announcements about the future of Superman and the entire DC Universe to the Hero Complex Film Festival on June 11.

Perhaps this touted announcement from Jim Lee and Geoff Johns isn’t actually that big, and these sorts of things may be saved for San Diego Comic-Con come July, but the official Hero Complex Film Festival website (go there to buy your tickets!) says the following:

“Ticket includes access to a DC Entertainment Panel with Geoff Johns and Jim Lee, discussing major new plans for the DC Universe and the future of characters beyond the page.”

It should be a period piece. Either "DC: The New Frontier" or "Kingdom Come".

I'm expecting cartoon news. That way, I can't get angry if it's really something beyond that.

Maybe they'll finally end the Superman/Lois marriage.

Paul Levitz at DC said everyone there is 50/50 on it, and people have been thinking of ways to end it for years.

It was also a scheme in the 1990s to bring in female readers.

Why would they do that? I mean its not like Clark was ever interested in other women so its not like he'll be like Parker pre-marriage where he was being the average guy trying to get a girl and they chose Lois. It has always been Lois and Clark running after her like a puppy.

So i dont see any potential in it, not to mention that L&C has been one of the best couple in comics. Only bad writing and fan rage will come of this.
