DC doesn't need to do build-up movies, but I definitely think it helped Marvel, especially with Thor and Captain America. They were able to develop those characters' backstories, and bring that drama into the Avengers without making it a 4 hour movie.

It's also cooler to see the heroes team up after you've already seen them in their own adventures, at least for me. If I were to see a JL movie, and it was also the first time I'd be seeing that actor in the role of GL, WW, etc, I don't know if I'd be as excited.

They should just do a Worlds Finest movie. With a focus on Wonder Woman to help introduce her character. Then at the end set up for Justice League

I still have a hard time imagining Wonder Woman and Batman in the same film. But I never cared for Wonder Woman.

I'd be very happy with a good Batman Superman crossover film.

A Justice Laegue movie using the Marvel template at at least 5 years away at best . Adter Superman you can start building a foundatiion . Let Nolan finish off his Batman series . Even Snyder's film may not be able to tie Supes and you may ned to a Superman sequel to set it up . Plus you need a Flash film , Wonderwoman film etccc .... DC is a long way away from a JL film . Let them try and make a hit film with a non batman or supers superhero first


Honestly I d take a world's finest film first .

Overseeing and in charge of the character are two different things, WB/DC is in charge of the character.

never said one equals the other. if he's attached to it, they obviously want his say in it.

a justice league film at this point would seem forced anyway. WF, trinity, with the JL film after the the avengers trilogy is done is good enough for me.

A JL movie without the solo movies to help set it up would be disastrous for WB/DC. After the incredible success of TA the GA would be dubious of a superhero team movie that came out of nowhere. JL would be seen as a direct rip off of TA, or at least a desperate cash in on WB/DC's part in response to TA. WB/DC should have a vision and a plan to develop a movie for each superhero aside from Batman and Superhero so that GA will accept them, then bring them together in a big extravagant movie. Doing it right and WB/DC will reap the rewards like Disney is doing right now with TA. I believe it can be done but solo origin movies are a must.

WB/DC do need to get their act together and make a JL movie. Sure, they can reason they don't need to copy Marvel, but I'm sure everyone would love to see the Justice League on screen working together the same way we saw the Avengers. If they managed to bring at least Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman together, that would be a movie of mythic proportions. I just want to see them sharing the screen and interacting together. Who cares ultimately whether the audience thinks DC are copying Marvel? It's not like there isn't any precedent for these DC heroes coming together in comic history.

I wrote one years ago in like two days, just to see what I could come up with. Its heavily Super Powers/Morrison inspired, with bits of Kingdom Come here and there. Kind of light on Batman until the middleor so, but I liked elements of it. There's a synopsis for it here. PM me if you want a copy, I'll see if I can dig it up.

Well, their last attempt to put Wonder Woman on television was such an embarrassment. They still have to put her on the silver screen. I'm skeptical it can even be done.

Because Batman comes from a fairly mundane world (by comic standards). Superman is science fiction. Making those two believably cross over takes good writing. Wonder Woman on the other hand comes from (badly researched) mythology. Sticks out like a sore thumb. The Avengers made it work with Thor by making him an extra-dimensional being. I suppose it can be done. I'm just not a Wonder Woman fan. But I admit my bias.

You don't have to take my word for it. You know how much money they spend on researching this stuff?

The people who agreed to finance Iron Man had a pretty good idea how it was going to turn out. It may have turned out better than they expected, but, it wasn't a crazy gamble on their part.

This is a science you know.
