I mentioned this in a previous post I created a long time ago. If the LOS came back, that means Talia is probably a part of Batman 3 and she's seeking revenge against her father's demise. I find Talia and a "revenge plot" to be a boring way to go for the Batman 3 storyline.

I voted No Cos Ra's is dead and having Talia as the leader I wouldn't want that. I rather have fresh story in the third with Batman clearing his name first.

Maybe in addition to the revenge of Ra's, they could add something in about trying to destroy Gotham. Something about how things with the Joker would not have happened if the League would have had a chance to do what they started with.

I don't think that they are necessary. This is basically the same as bringing back the Joker or reviving Two-Face. Leave all of them be, let us get something fresh for the next movie.

What you see as desperation I see as a logical story line set up.

well, with the revenge story it would be cool if Talia sent assassins after Batman to test him. Such as Dead shot and david cain yet david cain being her second in command.

Only if it was subtly used with potential to lead to something bigger in a later sequel. Kinda like SPECTRE with the Bond movies. Villains like Bane, Lady Shiva etc might as well be working for the organisation (led my Talia). But I don't want this, or those characters, for the next movies' plot.

I wouldn't want it to be a "The League is back" sort of story. Bruce should figure out the connection the moment his girlfriend (Talia Head) reveals her true intentions.

It would only seem second rate if it was executed well. Bane, David Cane or Talia leading the organization could be just as interesting with their untapped potential in film IMO.

Deadshot, Shiva etc being hired guns I can understand. Bane has always been more then just hired muscle, though. His intelligence makes him a bigger threat then is brawn.

But Seriously, Ras al Ghul IS the League of Shawdows. If you dont have Ras, you dont have the League. Sure, you can put Bane or Talia in there, but, purely, right away, it seems like someone unworthy is usurping Ras' position.....i'm all for Bane or Talia's involvement as second and thirds in command, but Ras has to be the HEAD.

I do agree. Bane is more than just a hired gun. He wouldnt subvert himself to a higher authority....except for in the Legacy storyline, where he agreeed to be ruled over by Ras, in exchange for talia's (unrequieted) love.

Ra's was the leader already. He's dead now. Having him do the same thing while interesting would be to much like a repeat of BB, A new player like Bane or Talia leading it would allow for more potential in direction with the group since they could take it in new areas that he couldn't since they'd have a different relationship with Batman. This would make much easier to avoid repeating stuff Ra's did.

I can agree with that about Bane, but with Talia there needs to be some League connection. It gives her logical power base and attachment to Ra's, even if she just calls the organization something else while keeping the people in the League who are loyal to her.

That's why it appeals to me. We saw the organization under Ra's but how would it work with someone else leading it?

I stand corrected about Talia, there would have to be some sort of League connection.

But she could be introduced with very loose League connections, more of a shadowy type with her own agenda. Perhaps even rogue to the League. Hell, that's pretty much every Talia DC comic story ever.

The thing about someone else ruling the League-what exactly is interesting about the league SANS Ras al Ghul as the head of it?? I dont mean to be rude, but Ras is really the only concept/character of the League that makes it note-worthy. Without Ras, you just have your basic cult/religious/apocalyptic/mystery terrorist. It's Ras that leads their motivation and agenda. IF you make someone else the leader who's loyal to Ras' objective(s), then really you're just doing the same thing you would do w/ Ras at the head, but you lose Ras, so what's the point.

Now, if you're hinting at someone else taking over and purposely neglecting Ras's prior objectives and putting the League into a whole new direction, then you're setting up conflict with Ras al Ghul. However, if you delete the presence of Ras, what's the point of League?

However, all this League talk is getting me curious of what a Ras al Ghul:The League of Shadows movie(a spinoff) could Be? Since i do like the idea of a conflict between Ras and a new League leader (perhaps David Cain, or even Talia), and that story point doesnt necessarily have to have much Batman, i'd welcome such a spinoff.

What do you think about it?

No it wouldn't, not at all. Bring the Joker/Two Face right after the sequel back to back is definitely not the same as bringing back the LOS, which was in the first film 4 years ago (which will be aprx 6-7 by the time Batman 3 is released). The movie doesn't have to entirely be focused on them. It'd be a nice OH HAI I REMEMBER YOU move.

However, you are incorrect concerning Neeson/Ras al Ghul.

Neeson WAS Ras al Ghul the whole time. The Ducard name was just a ruse.

And though supernatural aspects were not included in BB, Nolan/Goyer did hint at them.
