Who thinks they should come back? I do
What you see as desperation I see as a logical story line set up.No, If they come back we will need Ra's or Talia and that would feel like a repeat. They would have to very desprate for that to happen
Only if it was subtly used with potential to lead to something bigger in a later sequel. Kinda like SPECTRE with the Bond movies. Villains like Bane, Lady Shiva etc might as well be working for the organisation (led my Talia). But I don't want this, or those characters, for the next movies' plot.
I wouldn't want it to be a "The League is back" sort of story. Bruce should figure out the connection the moment his girlfriend (Talia Head) reveals her true intentions.
Only Ras should lead the return of the League.
Any substandard return of the League would seem second rate.
But i do agree that Bane, Shiva, Deadshot,e ct could serve as hired guns of the League.
It would only seem second rate if it was executed well. Bane, David Cane or Talia leading the organization could be just as interesting with their untapped potential in film IMO.
Deadshot, Shiva etc being hired guns I can understand. Bane has always been more then just hired muscle, though. His intelligence makes him a bigger threat then is brawn.
False. Or did you mean it would only seem second rate if it was not executed well.....never mind, that's obviously what you meant.
But Seriously, Ras al Ghul IS the League of Shawdows. If you dont have Ras, you dont have the League. Sure, you can put Bane or Talia in there, but, purely, right away, it seems like someone unworthy is usurping Ras' position.....i'm all for Bane or Talia's involvement as second and thirds in command, but Ras has to be the HEAD.
I do agree. Bane is more than just a hired gun. He wouldnt subvert himself to a higher authority....except for in the Legacy storyline, where he agreeed to be rule over by Ras, in exchange for talia's (unrequieted) love.
Bane IS tops.....except where Ras and the League are concerned.
Fair enough.
I still dont agree, b/c you could introduce Bane or even Talia without any League connection, really.
That's why it appeals to me. We saw the organization under Ra's but how would it work with someone else leading it?It just seems subordinate to have a League-influenced story sans Ras.
True. I just think reusing Ra's again would just be repeating to much in film. Especially when you don't need to bring him to use the League.AS for his death in BB, Nolan didnt include the supernatural aspects but he did hint at them.
I don't think that they are necessary. This is basically the same as bringing back the Joker or reviving Two-Face. Leave all of them be, let us get something fresh for the next movie.
Henri Ducard is dead... but is Ra's Al Ghul? Surely whoever takes over the League take on the mantle? If Talia Head took over it over, she'd take on the name Ra's Al Ghul.
I'm bumping this up because I'm tired of going onto the info hunters thread and just seeing people arguing about the subject of League of Shadows.
