Yeah there used to be another singer in the group, a black lady named Kim...something. :o Superior singer to Fergie (not hard to do) but didn't have that crossover appeal they wanted.

She's the one singing on Joints and Jams

You see now this is the Black Eyed Peas I remember, I was shocked when they came back out with Fergie it was like what the hell???

Oh and ewww Fergie wet herself on stage?? Damn they couldnt give her a few mins to go to the toilet?

If was a few years ago. If I remember correctly, apparently she didn't have time to actually go to the restroom so she went on the side of the stage and when she went back on there was a stain on her pants.

And she tried to play it off by saying it was sweat.

And that's...utterly foul. :csad:

This is a soul glo thread, yet we haven't talked too much about hair. What style are y'all rocking, and what do you put on your head. I usually go with bald or a college cut(even all over). I put some rub on scalp conditioner daily to keep the hair moist and all that good stuff.

Murrays forever! :mad::up:

Although right now I have my hair cut really close to the skin. Not bald, but certainly it's low enough to warrant pomade to offset any ashiness. lol

What's a Murray? You know we got different names for cuts down here. What folks up north call a Caesar, we call a college cut.

No, foolage. Murrays as in Pomeade (Hair Grease)!! LOL

Available in the classic orange can.

MODERATOR'S NOTICE:

It is my inestimable privilege to announce the official theme song for the Hype's Soul Glo Thread:

What do ya'll know about THAT!!! LOL :oldrazz::up:

I'm too broke to get a haircut, and my brother is on the move too much for me to get a free cut out of him, so I'm rocking about 3 inches worth of hair that I'm patting down so it doesn't look so long.

Oh yeah, I know what you're talking about now. I see that orange can all the time. I've never tried it though. I stuck to the oil sheen, and now that rub on stuff.

I keep a medium-high fade, close to the skin, without sideburns. I also use some pomade on top for thicker waves and moisture.

I let mine grow until I cut it for work, currently it's a tightish 'fro that needs a shape up.

This summer I will have a full-sized fro, and trimmed beard. But I'll be losing the stache. I'm going for the smexy Abe Lincoln look.

Hmmph...looks like Whitney had a wardrobe malfunction of her own...

Poor thing. Her voice is ruined. What a waste. And is she...high in that interview???

And finally...how lame is this???

Mar.8-14: Chris Brown Pleads With Fans To Help Revive His Career
Posted Sat Mar 13, 2010 1:34pm PST by Billy Johnson, Jr. in That's Really Week

Sad news is in abundance this week, starting with the former prince of pop Chris Brown. Brown, who has been vying for a way to revitalize his career following his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, has resorted to desperate measures to stage his comeback..

The 20-year-old singer-dancer, who plead guilty to felony assault and is on probation for five years, recorded an audio message Wednesday on Say Now asking his fans to "bring [him] back." A humbled Brown said he needs his fans' help. "Some radio stations aren't playing my records," he said. "They're not being that supportive and I wouldn't expect them to. But it's on the fans...It's in your power to bring me back.".

Brown said he is doing everything he can do. He refers to himself as a "better person" and said he is doing his music for the love, but added that his career is in jeopardy..

"It won't be possible for me to be an artist if I don't have support from people who give me an artist outlet," Brown said. "I can't be an underground mixtape artist.".

Brown sounds stressed out. After releasing two previously successful albums, it has got to be tough experiencing such a decline in support for his current album, Graffiti..

I know it's been a year since the incident, he has accepted his sentence, and was previously praised by the judge for following through with his community service, but he needs to relax. It is going to take some time for him to repair his reputation. He needs to be patient. He just re-emerged on Twitter at @ChrisBrown and is keeping it positive so far. He Tweeted about reading to 3rd grade students at a school in Harlem. This feels like a better plan. Releasing a new album just eight months after the altercation was just too soon.

Way to sound uber-deperate Chris. :down

He really shouldn't whine. It's not as if Rhianna's career has benefited at his demise. Her last album flopped too.

Dear Chris Brown,

It has come to my attention that your career may indeed be in shambles. I send my condolences. In regards to a solution, rather than pleading to your fans, might I suggest you stop making music that sucks?

Warmest Regards,
Manic

:funny:

He just needs to take a break. Like the article said, he came back waaaaaaaaaay too soon with a new album. Also...he sounds spoiled. There's nothing wrong with the underground, especially when you've f***ed up as badly as he has. LOL

When he recorded that plea, I wonder if he was wearing a powder blue sweater, bow tie, and thick-framed glasses so we know how innocent and sincere he is.

I wonder what the first take of his message was like.

" Go buy my music you *****es or I'll punch you all in the eye!!"

Never listened to Chris Brown anyway so couldn't care less if I never hear from him again. His career may go the way of Bobby Bown.

You guys should check out the upcoming album of Rapper, Singer, Actor - Plan B's the defamation of strickland banks. I heard some streamed tracks and its pretty awesome.

The guy used to be on the Streets label and used to sound like a british eminem with a guitar but his new album which is mostly singing sounds like Gnarls Barkley meets Amy Winehouse meets Robin Thicke. His got the 60s soul sound.

Impossible...unless he just quits making music altogether.

There's your solution right there. He can just fall back on one of his many other talents, such as...

...

...beating women, I guess.

Does anyone remember a white soul artist that had a really tight song out a few years ago that sounded like Maxwell? I am trying to find the song but I can't remember the title or the name of the artist. For some reason I wanna say the guy's name was Remmie, but nothing comes up. He only had the one hit--and it was a minor one.
