Loeb & Cho's New Ultimates

You know, strangely I'm actually liking Ultimate Hulk Vs. Wolverine. I have every reason to hate it but i think its pretty good; not too complicated, good characterizations, and this is the best i've ever seen Lienil Yu's artwork. I feel like its an ode to the old days before the Ultimate U went to hell. This is way better than Ultimatum imo.

But Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine does mention cannabalism.

That's why I just refuse to read it after the first issue, and instead come here and listen to all of you gripe about it...and that usually tells me all I need to know to keep up to date.

I learned after Ultimates 3 that Loeb was out of his depth here.

I totally agree. The only reason I read them is cuz I get to do it for free. But I'd never pay a dime for Loeb's crap. Not a bloody dime.

Amen to that part. I have every USM issue including the crazy white #1 worth like $300, so it ticks me off that now I've gotta stop collecting it because they decided to hire an artist like THAT.

Not at all! New Ultimates is with Loeb and it promises to be more the same raping of The Ultimates.

Ultimate Avengers is being written by Millar who intends on taking it back to the good old days of The Ultimates 1 & 2.

In short, pick up Ultimate Avengers and skip New Ultimates.

Seriously, what possessed Bendis to choose THAT guy for USM?? I dont get it man, bendis is usually a good eye for artistry.

I don't mind the guy they have taking over. He's no Bagely or Immonen for sure, but he's not at Joe Mad levels of awfulness. I will be picking up USM and Ultimate Avengers, as they represent what the Ultimate universe should have always been. And that is written by no one but Bendis and Millar.

i looked up some of lafuente's work and it wasn't as bad as ppl were making it out to be. once it's colored it looks great.

You have to be kidding me! This, is what we have replacing Immomen? He's a good replacement for Bagley, but this manga inspired crap is awful. Why in the name of hell must Spidey look like a bobblehead doll?
