Man of Steel Box Office Prediction Thread - Part 10

Cavill had plenty of charm in MOS, in the scenes with Lois.

I do believe those that were disappointed will get the Superman film they want with MOS 2, it will have an established Superman, a glasses wearing reporter Clark Kent, the romance, the supporting cast at the DP, probably feature Lex and msybe even Jimmy etc.

The best thing to remember is that we need Man of Steel before we got all that, the audience had to invest in Clark Kent before we got to the fully fledged Superman. I'm starting to get excited at the sequel prospects really cannot wait!

i really hope they use Lex effectively in MoS2 .. personally, i think that Lex rising to political power & leveraging the destruction to sway public opinion would work great for compelling story telling & character development ..

could Lex's financial power & prowess cause foreign border conflict, forcing Supes to intervene ? i think so .. thereby causing international conflict due to Supes' existence & further sway public opinion in Lex's favor .. all for Supes to uncover and becoming that symbol of hope .. make him use brains as well as brawn .. i think the GA would gobble that up wholesale .. i would

It's gonna be interesting that's for sure, really cannot wait.

I believe Lex is going to have already rebuilt most if not all of Metroplis and we'll see him as this great saviour type. It's gonna be so interesting to see Superman have to use his smarts to defeat a foe like Lex.

what are SHH'ers predicting for WW by Sun 7th July ? i'm thinking around $590ww .. i'll place my range between 580 - 600m WW & split the difference .. 675ww (650-700ww) by the end of it's run .. but honestly hoping for 700m +

I think it will be between 580-590M. I wouldn't mind if it does a bit more, though.

The Lone Ranger at 28% on RT. It was speculated in here how important RT rating could be for certain people in determining whether or not they will see a movie. Curious to see if this has any effect for this film or this kind of film with Depp is critic proof.

Or complain there's too much building damage and millions die. What do people expect when super beings with super powers go at it... We'll see how The Avengers handle this in the movie. I hope there's kickA$$ action scene like MOS... Thanos better do what Zod did in MOS... World damage... (I won't be surprise if it's not as this is Disney).

WB okay with the metahumans fighting and things get destroyed and lives lost so i'm going to guess the next fight in MOS2 will be somewhere in the desert or space since Superman doesn't want anymore civilian casualties.
They should show Thanos willing to commit genocide to reach his goal so that the Avengers will not hold anything back.

Funny, I get accused of being a hater when nothing could be further from the truth. Like I don't spend hours writing Superman fan-fiction (I am superfan2 at fanfiction.net) cause I have nothing better to do.

I want Supes to be number one again and I want a great Superman film that blows the critics away, gets a 9 plus rating on RT and totally engages the younger set. A new generation of fans is needed. They are waiting for something simple - to believe again that a man can fly.

MOS2 is crucial and following its development will be fascinating.

Some folks scoff at me for writing WB re: MOS2. That's cool. I don't expect the President will read my letter but an intern will and, if that person is taken at all by it, they will pass it on. Its the least I can do as a Superman fan whether Kevin Tsujihara reads it or not.

You are unbelievable! You repeatedly posted that you want Supes and the franchise gone and all your box office predictions that were super low. Now you are trying to convince people that you are the biggest fan and was never a hater and a troll!

I'll say it again,people are onto you Tobias and enough members here have seen and read your old posts (and some of your more recent ones!) so all of your "people accuse me of being a hater" rubbish will not work. You keep on trying to say you are a fan and not a troll but I for one know it's rubbish. You just want to survive here longer than you did at other Superman sites that banned you so you can be around for the build up to the next film so you can troll and hate through the build up and production of the next film.

I have read somewhere like 610-620 WW and some 800 towards the finish line.

A lot of the films that Johnny Depp has been in for Disney have had Low Rotten Tomato scores and yet that didn't stop them from making money.lol
