why you always can get the numbers? lolSo numbers, it looks to be about $3.0M for MoS. Good holiday boost.
You do realize $650m is pretty much a lock right? The question is if it goes over $700m or not.SR made a little over 400 mil worldwide adjusted...MOS has about 120 more than that, and I doubt it will crawl to anything over 600 mil (WW) if it reaches 600 at all. How does this warrant a sequel "for sure"? Because to me it's just wishful thinking.

Why do you keep making weird stuff up?
It guarantee's one because this film would end up being quite profitable. Also a strong starting point for a "DCU". Have you not been keeping up with this stuff?Even 650...how does this guarantee a sequel? I want one, I'm just worried.

oh NOoooooOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!!!!SR made a little over 400 mil worldwide adjusted...MOS has about 120 more than that, and I doubt it will crawl to anything over 600 mil (WW) if it reaches 600 at all. How does this warrant a sequel "for sure"? Because to me it just sounds like wishful thinking.
There is also this. The Hobbit only has two films left, and there is no Harry Potter these days.Because its good enough and WB don't have anything else to run with. They aren't like Disney where they can just fall back on for sure hits if something doesn't perform. MoS at the very least did well enough.
oh NOoooooOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!!!!
NO Sequel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh wait...
you don't want the sequel....
let's celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know - and this isn't aimed at anyone in particular, just the whole craziness of the industry standards now - but it's pretty freaking crazy to think that a movie that has made over $500 million might not get a sequel.
I mean, seriously, I remember the days when a $100-200 million over the entire run was pretty damn good. And I'm not talking about ''back in the 70's'' or something. Really, it wasn't that long ago. When did over $500 million per movie'' become borderline failure in some people's eyes?
It's just crazy. And this whole thing of each movie costing almost $200 million each to make. I just do not get it...
Anyways. Yay for MoS having a bit of a boost today! Keeping my fingers crossed it gets one this weekend too!
I still laugh at those people being disappointed with Amazing Spider-Man 'only' making 3/4 of a billion dollars.

Huh, interesting.
From yesterday to today, the kid's movies went down in percentage, while the adult movies went up. I guess the adults with kids took their kids outside to parades and such, and the adults without kids, went to the movies! LOL!
Disney didn't really do that. The sequel conversation is ridiculous. This movie was a lock for a sequel after the opening weekend. It's currently the second highest grossing movie of the year domestically and fourth worldwide (and will almost definitely pass the two non-Iron Man movies ahead of it.) It's more than likely going to finish top five for the year domestically and worldwide; movies like that get sequels even MORE so when they're set up to get sequels in the first place.
WB is eyeing what Disney has done with the MCU (using a combined universe to turn second rate superheroes into big grossers, having the Avengers gross 1.5 billion)... They absolutely view this as a starting point.
Regardless of whether you liked the movie anyone who is trying to characterize the Man of Steel box office as anything other than a massive success is either a hater with an agenda or a complete fool.
