So, to apologize is childish? From here I come from, that is being polite and humble.

I have no idea what you think you are but dont ****ing try to bully me.

It makes me wonder how alienated you might be, thinking I not being part of this forum actually having any importance in my life.

Hilarious.

Good bye.

I am really interested about what just happened lol. I come in to check on the box office, see somebody ranting then C. Lee literally being the Terminator. Sounds intense.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he's gone.

OVER 200 million folks...I have said this repeatedly...The GA is dying for this movie...Just wait...I'll show ya...:hoboj:
i love your super optimistic. i think u have already joined him in the sun. :D

yeah, we're losing folks now..knew it would happen :D

Yes, thats what I am saying. The RT data is basically what you have been throwing around and based on your nick even an infant will reckon you are Marvel biased.

The only thing preventing MOS 2 or JL from happening is a huge flop both domestic and overseas. And I mean like under $500.

Now, obviously WB would have preferred better ratings but then again the average score is 7.0 which is actually pretty high.

That could be possible. Two heavy hitters are being released the following week. If the general audience are mixed about the film, then you're probably gonna see a steep drop in it's box office intake next week.

What's sad is that I didn't mean to say that MoS is "critically panned", my original post was that at the percentage it's very close to be rated rotten, but it's not there yet. I was trying to say that, yeah I think the film will make some buck and is probably critic proof at least for the opening weekend, but that if it does go rotten, that WB probably didn't envision kickstarting the movie DCU with a film that was critically panned.

And that in fairness was probably a poor choice of words on my part as "critically panned" would probably apply to a film like Ghost Rider, more than a film that was rated in the 50%. Rather than have a discussion a few people exploded and one got banned.

Thank you for those that said some nice things about me. I do like Superman and I don't want this film to fail. I didn't like Superman Returns because I felt like it was nothing but a glorified love fest to the Donner films. I'm hoping to like this film, but wheather I do or not, I will give props to the guys for having the guts to retell the origin.

It's been a running gag the number of failed Superman projects there have been since the end of the Reeves era. I remember back on these forums when the Abrams scriptment was being ripped apart, I defended it, because while I certainly didn't agree with everything in there, it was at least trying to do something different. Actually I think a lot of the ideas of the Abrams script are in this film, at least the focus on him being an alien and what it would mean, the other offenses of that script like Krypton not exploding and Lex Luthor being an alien are thankfully not here.

My main point in all of the box office discussions has been that, sure this movie could be a huge surprise hit, and that would be nice, but it doesn't have to be. It just had to establish the new direction and do well enough to warrant sequels.

I have no idea what's been going on here, but you two better put each other on ignore, because it's getting really stupid.

I didn't know you could ignore people, lol. I guess I'm too busy trying to make sure I follow the rules more than anything. Now that I think about it, there are a few posters I'd like to put on ignore.

How does that even work? Will they just not see my posts/threads at all and can't PM me right?

Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'

You won't see any of their posts at all. There's more in the FAQ if you want to check it out.

Man Of Steel is now at 63%, lower than the lowest MCU installment, The Incredible Hulk (67%). If it dips below 60% it's already considered rotten. Oh my.

After seeing the movie twice, and seeing the action, spectacle, and scale of this movie (the biggest and most spectacular ive ever seen),800 mil is the least this will make. And I wont be surprised with a billion.

 nice, thank you.

For my part, as a fan, i'd be happy with 700 mill. I would imagine WB would turn cartwheels over that.

how could u have already watched it twice when most of us still haven't watched it!!! how could u!!!???

lol. i'm just too happy getting a new superman movie. i thought superman died together with SR.

btw, i'm a total donner's, reeve's superman fan.
i thought retell the origin story is redundant. general zod has been done. amy is too old. cavill isn't tall enough, routh is still better. the suit is bad. the mood is too dark. Zack can't do romance... and so on...
but from the trailers and tv spots, i don't think i will get disappointed. :D

I think it might have died with that movie, had it not been for reboots of James Bond, Hulk, Star Trek, and Spider-man to name a few.

Superman Returns came out only a year after Batman Begins so the "reboot" concept was fairly new, and after a few others did it, I think people are now comfortable with the idea of restarting other franchises if the story is good.

I actually had the same reaction about him! Because I was used to seeing Superman as this tall, lanky Clark Kent (Reeve/Routh) but I learned that Cavill is actually 6'1" not bad since Routh is 6'3"

Cavill may not be tall enough but MoS Superman would kick the crap out of Donners Supes every day. And that's not meant to be taken as a bash. I don't think Superman should be defined by his height. You are like 3 years too late in that department...
