62%! Never thought I'd be happy saying that!

I don't think that the reviews are gonna have too much of an effect on the OW boxoffice one way or the other. But if the GA feels indifferent towards the film then it may only be a one weekend wonder. I'm hoping that it kills at the boxoffice this weekend so there'll be enough justification for a sequel no matter what happens with the films legs.

Lol me too. Back at 61% though. As long as that red tomato is there and not the green slime then I'm happy :)

back down to 60%. This this is going to end up rotten, the ratio of bad to good has not changed and the average rating has dropped to 6.4.

MAN OF STEEL swoops into 4,207 theaters this weekend, 3,350 in 3D, or nearly 80%. $115M--over or under?

I'm sure you remember the big increase cap had when it came out(maybe, maybe not)

Not saying that will happen here but given the huge range in critical scores, the tide could turn in the next few days. I'm actually pretty curious what that audience score will be.

I am genuinely dumbfounded at the 59% but whatever, still be seeing it.

Get ready folks! Over 200 million this weekend and into the record books!

I'll see it three times this weekend for sure, and I talked quite a few into going with me those three times, so I'm doing my part.

I'm taking 2 people with me and will definitely see it 2 more times this weekend...This is how records are broken...:woot:

I remember that, but it was in part because Disney had an embargo in place until Wednesday afternoon. You could tell it was going up, because on Thursday the ratio of good to bad reviews was up like 5:1, when it was still in the 40% range.

It still has a chance to become fresh, but 70% is gone, 65% is likely gone, it will be in the low 60's or high 50's.

Not going to happen, but I admire your enthusiasm. Hopefully it will take the record for a June opening, and if it's a total surprise, we could see as high as 130's or so.

Thanks, but Superman being the iconic super hero + the great WB last minute marketing will have the curiosity of the GA.

Boxoffice.com is projecting 115 million

Deadline is saying 95-100 million.

Reviews aren't gonna helping

Let them project whatever they want. They are 50% off.
This is SUPERMAN we are talking about, NOT Iron Man....:)!

Reviews at this point can move only little numbers. I don't know how, but the marketing worked very well. If people like it it will do extremely well.

If you want your wish to come true he better be Iron Man.

Like the next guy said I admire your optimism but you are in for a rude awaking if you think this movie comes anywhere near the stratosphere of 200 million. Oh and this isn't 2005, right now Iron Man >>>>>> Superman in terms of boxoffice prowess.

Reviews won't affect the initial frenzy of OD, but the Saturday and Sunday drop off might

What bothers me is if it does say 80M this weekend, will people call it a flop?
