That's utter bull, seriously. Using heat vision against a human-built mirror (animated series), I mean wth!?!?!?!?

Everything being relative, if I burn my beard off with something, my skin would ALSO burn! Does this happen to Clark, NO!!!!

This is utter rubbish. In a film about a man who can fly, heat stuff with his eyes (not just women), withstand heavy artillery fire and survive (holding breath or no) in space - This is just a step too far, I'm sorry!!!

Hope it ends up in the film :D

I was like...are you sure you're even a Superman fan?? And then I saw the last little bit here at the bottom. I really wanna see him shave with heat vision! That would be pretty cool

Seeing him shave with heat vision would be nice little bit in the film.

Didn't they do that in Lois & Clark?!

EDIT: It's in the last episode of Season 1 about 10 minutes in. They used a normal mirror in that but the heat vision Clark used was very very light unlike the powerful version he normally uses.

I don't see why anyone would make such a big deal about him using his heat vision on a normal mirror to shave. He has full control over the strength of the beam and it's not like he'd go full blast and melt the mirror....

Oh yeah man I agree, I was just saying thats how they did in L&C.

Speaking of heat vision, how do you think it will be shown (if at all) in MOS? Red beams or Smallville style?

wasn't the heat vision on Smallville and Superman Returns similar?

Yeah pretty much the same. Although Smallvilles got "oranger" as the series went on. I'm assuming because he got older and his powers got stronger.

Im torn between the two tbh and wouldn't mind either one.

I thought they looked similar. I didn't watch much Smallville in the later years. If they could do a mixture of the two. I don't want beams because then people are like "oh it's laser vision not heat vision." I want it to actually look like heat and not lasers. Maybe thin beams with what looks like fire wrapped around them...

Yeah that sounds kinda cool. Agree with you about the "laser vision" thing, gets annoying.
Personally I think the heat vision in the early Smallvilles was amazing!

I do want to see how his eyes change while using his heat vision. His pupils should only light up when it's not a strong blast...but I want to see his whole eye light up when he's pissed off and going to pull a Cyclops and blast the hell outta someone...

Yeah I've always thought that would be awesome. it would be great to have a scene where he emerges from a cloud of smoke and dust with eyes burning red getting ready to tear Zod apart.

I remember before SR came out there was talk of a scene where you see all the particles being gathered into Superman's eyes in slow motion before being let out as heat vision. What ever happened to that?!

that would have been cool. I'd love to see the heat gather in his eyes and then blast away and then afterwards have his eyes still glowing and smoking

I'd much rather see him kicking some ass with his heat vision, frankly.

that would be pretty awesome to see Supes blast the pants off of Zod

As far as I know, we've never really seen Superman use heat vision as a weapon against any of his villains in the previous films. They were mainly used to destroy a oncoming flying object or to cut something off, again an inanimate object.

That tradition could easily continue, or a compromise. Supes uses heat vision to cut up Zod's armor. :hmm

:o

If you're talking about live action movies then I think you're right...if you're including Superman animated movies he has. I'll just assume you mean live action

Wow this just looks epic. Impressive. And they said this style couldnt work for more fantastic characters in the DC library.

What they have here is one hell of a formula. Looking fwd to this.

Yeah; I meant live action films only.

Its hilarious how people sh** on Superman Returns for feeling like a remake of Superman: The Movie yet want to Man of Steel a free pass despite being an obvious remake of Superman II.

Except it's not a remake of Superman II though.

Just because they are using Zod makes it a remake to you? It's not. The only things that will be similar are the characters. This is a completely different movie and I didn't think Superman Returns was a remake. This who think it is need a head examination
