Man Of Steel Trailer Crowd Reactions Thread

My God the Man of Steel trailer in the theater looked amazing in 3D! :wow:

Saw the hobbit today, my showing didnt have anything MOS related..:(

I hate you :cmad: just kidding :oldrazz:

How good was it when he took off?
It was great! Somehow with the post 3D conversion process they were able to make the film grain to be part of the 3D experience. It was beautiful!

Yeah the 3D trailer was so good and the way the 3D was done for the MoS title card at the end was neat.

My wife was with me when we saw The Hobbit and the trailer and her reaction surprised me since she avoids and hates any comic book related movie but upon seeing the trailer she leaned over and said "....that actually looks really good!".

I think Man of Steel just gained a fan for June. Also the new "handcuffed" poster was on display in the theater.

I saw the hobbit yesterday and they didn't show the trailer, I may have yelled "what about Superman!!!?!?" Rather loudly... I was sooo disappointed

they didnt have the trailer when i saw it. that made me upset... but i adored the movie.

Since you're in san antonio, care to tell me which theater I should avoid? If you say Palladium, then I already know. Those fools NEVER show the newest trailers.

i went to the Alamo Quarry to watch it... either way, call ahead just to make sure. i didnt have the chance to call ahead since i was running late with my wife and a friend of mine

Even though I personally understand why J.Kent said, "maybe" to Clark, I think it was a bad idea to have him do so. Going forward, it will often be compared to the infamous line (from Batman Begins), "I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you." Mark my words. My hope is that Kent's response was taken out of context specifically because some of the dialogue was truncated for the trailer.

It's not a major deal, but, it's something that could have been avoided.

We're taking about it do its done its job.

We don't even know if maybe actually follows that line look at the way it's cut also how do we know what follows maybe if it does follow the should I let people due line. Lastly on the Begins line it's only us comic fans who gave a crap that Batman ET Ra's die the .GA don't care.

Anyone that takes issue with him saying "maybe" is just too dense to understand what's going on. His body language clearly indicates that he's uncomfortable with what he's saying -- that he doesn't even want to say it. He's torn between protecting his son and his son being a protector of others. That's a real reaction, an honest one. It's not a comic book reaction, and it makes it a helluva lot better movie.

Post work is a lot of different things(Sound, editing, looping). So yeah, they don't have a gun on their heads to finish but I don't think they're going to wait til the last minute on effects just because they have time to twiddle their thumbs.

Every major effects driven film is rendering up until the last possible minute. That is standard practice in the industry these days. If they have five extra months, you'd better believe they're going to use every last second they have. That's the antithesis of twiddling their thumbs.

The theater was pretty empty for The Hobbit since I couldn't go see it in IMAX like I wanted(sold out on Friday). The reactions were hard to come by because there wasn't a lot of people in my showing. One woman was like, "That looks good!".

I'm seeing it in AVX this afternoon finally, so excited to see it on the big screen. A friend of mine saw it yesterday in the same format and said it looked great, and he's not really a Superman fan. The 2 guys I'm going to see the hobbit with today i also saw Superman returns with and they loathed it, so hopefully this trailer excites them more, I haven't shown them yet so they can see it on the big screen first.

Man... I really want to see it on theater! Too bad I don't care for the Hobbit... :/
I second that too, I'm a comic book geek but not all loner geeks are into EVERYTHING considered geeky by the mainstream and The Hobbit and LOTR should never be lumped with superhero genres.

I saw the Hobbit today, but MOS trailer wasn't apart of it. I guess its only on the 3D version? I saw it in 2D(to be honest The Hobbit wasn't that great imo.)
