Finally, Anita Blake returns. I know I'm still waiting for issue 2 of the two-part mini that came out a while back.
Moon Knight finally gets a new writer. I can only get better than it's been.
Omega The Unknown got a write-up in the top ten list of Entertainment Weekly this week. I still haven't read the first issue; but, it's always great to see a comic appear in that list.
Marvel Adventures Hulk is the best (and I know that's not saying much) Marvel Adventures title. Issue #2 was worthy of being a regular 616 tale...I loved seeing Jamie Madrox's powers merged with The Hulk. That issue was classic.
Spider-Man: Great Power doesn't get me excited at all. How many times do we have to have retellings of Peter's early Spidey years. Booooring!
Marvel Spotlight: Ultimates 3 .... this title is really starting to suck. I liked it enough with writer and artist spotlight...then, it was nice that they might focus on someone, like Thor or Hulk. But, with them focusing on titles that haven't been around long at all, like Ultimates and Marvel Zombies, I just don't care. I want to hear stories about the classic years of Marvel comics. Give me interviews from the writers of old...what life used to be like and the perspective of the comic industry past and present.
Essential Captain America Vol. 4 has me excited...Essential Marvel Saga Vol. 1 doesn't. About anyone can get Marvel Saga for under 10 bucks on ebay...that's where I got my full collection for 5 bucks. I know I don't have to buy it...but, I'm a completist, and I have every issue of Essential that's come out. I just want hard to find or really expensive back issues, like with those Captain America's. I'd really like to see Marvel put out those comics from the 70's that only lasted for a few short issues, like The Cat or Black Goliath.
