Marvel Now - Part 4

is anyone else tired of these teasers???
or is it just me?

I actually kinda like them. It's fun to guess what they are, even if I'm against the relaunch attitude that causes them.

Maybe Resurrection has to do with Richard Rider coming back. If he does, he would either have to join GotG or get his own book (after Sam's gets canceled or the creative team changes...either way there would have to be a different team for the real Nova). I say to leave Sam as a part of New Warriors, Rich doesn't need a demotion back to that team. NW could be Sam's chance to shine and maybe learn how to be a better hero.

I wish it was Richard Rider...but Marvel hates me so it won't be. :(

And I guess this is where everybody starts getting all indignant and starting their 30 paragraph diatribes with "I'm not racist, but..." :o

Why does it always have to be about you? :o

I only demand that it be about me when it comes to Richard Rider.

:csad:

Edit: Or Generation X.

But Marvel hates me, so they killed everyone on Gen X off except a couple, and made Jubilee a vampire. :(

No, this is where everybody says "I don't give a ****, but the NYT still thinks this is news."

It would be nice if Marvel and DC gave minorities original superhero identities instead of ones of popular existing heroes.

I guess they think minority characters have a better chance of selling a book if they using the powers or identity of a previous well known superhero.

I don't think it's so much minority characters having trouble selling solo books, just new characters in general. New characters need to be introduced in already ongoings or team books, or nobody is going to care enough to buy it. I'm not going to pick up a new ongoing starring only one character I've never seen before.

Even if its called Ms. Marvel. And especially not when Marvel tries to make it some big publicity push about a minority. That just reeks of desperation.

Well at least that poster was wrong about it being some reincarnated Jean Grey in the form of Angela. This title will definetlg flop, but the character could be cool

I like the idea but if you are going to create someone to take over the Ms Marvel mantle…why give her shapeshifting powers?

Why not?

The name doesn't come with a specific powerset...

It's being drawn by Alphona, so I'll definitely check it out for the pretty art.

Looks like we've already gotten the answer to this:

Monday's All-New Marvel Now teaser from Marvel Comics promised a "Resurrection" in February 2014 from writer Brian Wood and artist Kris Anka, and CBR News can exclusively reveal what project the image was promoting: A new three-issue story arc titled "Ghosts," starting in "X-Men" #10.NOW.

While it's not yet exactly clear what "Resurrection" has to do with the arc, it is known that the new Sisterhood -- introduced in "Muertas," the arc starting with this month's "X-Men" #7 -- are involved. While Lady Deathstrike's presence was revealed this past July at Comic-Con International, Typhoid Mary and Enchantress are both also part of the group -- neither characters typically associated with the X-books. The group doesn't start there, with an unnamed powerful villain -- "the most powerful of them all," according to Marvel -- sought out by the Sisterhood, described as "an enemy who holds the X-Men responsible for her almost-destruction." (The "Muertas" story arc, originally solicited six-issues, has been broken up into two three-parters -- "Muertas" and "Ghosts.")

Set your speculation accordingly, and keep reading CBR for more on All-New Marvel NOW!.

Who's the chick with the flashlight?

They are going to have to color Monet darker and make Psylocke's hair more purple bc this is the second image where Ive confused them while Dodson's drawing. I shouldn't be confusing a character from northern Africa with an Asian one

The only thing about that Ms. Marvel series that interests me is Alphona on art. And being that they seem to be keeping artists for an arc or two and then switching, that's not enough to make me buy it.

Anyone wanna guess the over/under of when this book gets cancelled?

I say within 9 issues.
