Marvel Now - Part 4

As soon as I read "bored with Waid's Daredevil", once again JH makes me want to kick a puppy out of frustration.

I know how DD used to be, but he moved away from that 30 years ago.It's no longer in character really, nor is the theme or feel recognizable Daredevil. I mean, it's good, but it isn't Daredevil. I don't even understand the change. Marvel has a plethra of happy, fun characters and books. Not so much in the dark noir sort of vein. Daredevil went from a fairly unique Marvel book to Spider-Man lite. Sadly, it's a pale representation of what the book used to be. It went from Evanessence to Justin Beiber.

Okay, I'm not completely right. Daredevil 26 rocked... but it also had a darker tone to it, which I like for the character. And the back up story got me choked up a little

I love Waids, DareDevil, its a great change after years, and years of increasingly darker DareDevil stories.

Also just finished reading the first trade of "Indestructible Hulk" and loved it, just questioning why the Hulk has reverted back to his inarticulate self.

Carlos Pacheco is taking over for JRJR in Remender's next Cap arc starting with issue #11. It involves Cap's return to Earth and going on a "Bourne Identity" style hunt for Nuke and involves the Weapon Minus program.

Weapon Minus certainly plays into Remender's strength's.

Pacheco IS awesome. I prefer his X-Men run over anything else he has ever done in the history of anything though.

Pacheco was awesome, back in the Operation Zero Tolerance and X-treme X-Men days.
His art is not nearly as impressive now

and when, oh lord when, are they getting rid of Cap's ugly new costume??

Yeah, Pacheco rocked back in the late 90s. I thought his recent run of Uncanny X-Men was decent, but his work on Age of Ultron leaves something to be desired. That is Pacheco right? Or am I remembering that wrong.

Marvel Now costume design has been so hit or miss.
There are some beautiful new costumes like Uncanny X-Force and Captain Marvel on one hand
Then you got Cap, Iron man(if you can even call that a new design), Uncanny X-Men, and Cable's X-Force on the complete other end

They should just let Kris Anka(that's the name right?) design every character's new costume.

I like Cap's new uniform depending on who's drawing it, which is my gripe about it. You have JRJR how took his classic look and simply modernized it by turning it into a padding look which I think looks great. Then you have Jerome Opena who makes Cap look like a Spec Ops soldier, where while looking beautifully drawn, is way over-detailed and unnecessary. And everyone from John Cassady to Salvador Larocca to Dustin Weaver has their own take on the costume. It's really annoying.
