Also, now that Spider-Man is in the MCU, the chances of a little bit more Spidey representation could be a little higher this time. The lack of Spider-Man villains in MVC3 was pretty sad.

They did almost add Doc Ock at one point. They couldn't get him in because they couldn't get his arms to work in terms of gameplay.

Her or Marrow. It's a testament to how insanely popular the X-Men were in the 90's that pretty much every character got used regardless of how obscure.

It didn't seem they got to push the characters, just tell them who they couldn't use.

With the X-Characters out I'd like to see some more obscure Marvel characters like Man-Thing and Moon Knight get a shot at being in the roster.

Doc Ock would be much more complicated that Spiral. The majority of Ock's moveset would most likely have him using his tentacles. Including hypers. Ock also walks with his tentacles when he fights, while his body is extended in the air. Not only would he do command grabs, he would also do moves where he would poke in different areas. You would have to animate his movement in the air and on the ground. This would actually look pretty awesome because he could have tons of options with all of his limbs. Plus Ock doing an air combo would take a lot of figuring out for him. they would have to figure out how Ock would look as he is getting combo, so they have to animate the tentacles for that as well.

And I think when it comes to obscure X-men characters, I think Marrow being in MVC2 was the most obscure choice. I believe that was actually her first time even appearing outside of the comics.

so, a poster on Neogaf confessed to creating that "4" poster - meaning that mock up was fake. Hopefully, that also means it won't be PS4 exclusive.

now, if the rumors are to be believed, MvC 4 will be revealed at the PlayStation meeting.

So, I wouldn't be surprised if it will be a PS4 timed exclusive, or maybe PS4 gets exclusive content. But I just don't want it to be a full console exclusive.

No Marvel started pushing her back in 2007. MvC3 began development in 2008, years before she ever made the change to Captain Marvel so that latter part is kind of a nonfactor

I had to refresh my memory on Carol's powers, but I could probably think of ways they could be used in a fighter without coming off as too godly. The photonic beam projectiles, the flight, and maybe the nuclear explosion like attack as a super move once the gauge is high enough.

Nova is pretty much how I imagine she would be, and then they added Nova to the game with UMvC3

so I'd love to see her in the next game.

Moon Knight would also be a nice addition.

Same here. The closest we've ever gotten to an all Marvel fighter that wasn't all X-men was Marvel Super Heroes.


And before anyone mentions Marvel Nemesis Rise Of The Imperfects, half of that games roster contained characters made up by EA. So it was not even close to being an all Marvel fighter.

Well given it's a Japanese game company, I'm sure they would rather use Ms. Marvel bouncing in her mono-kini than the more dignified Capt. Marvel anyway

Moon Knight needs literally anything at this point. He's such an underutilized property. A netflix show, a video game, or an appearance in a video game would be nice. Man-thing too. I'm a Man-Thing fanboy though.
