Marvel WUSSING OUT and going back to fanboy comfort zone.

Why the heck would they do that? Marvel setup House Of M because there were too many mutants. So many that the idea of them as a vast minority was disappearing, and it was getting rediculous keeping track of all these mutants, and the school was fool to bursting point.

That's the reason House Of M happened.

Marvel would undo it just because of a handfull of whiners?

Heres what most fans gripe about, yeah HOM lowered the mutant pop. but we still got umpteen X-books with just as many characters all over the place. So we got less mutants, but even more titles and mini-series.

HOM accomplished nothing, if only Xavier and his original X-men with a few of the stand outs like Wolverine, Storm, Rogue and Nightcrawler...etc..and cancelled all ongoings except one, then HOM would have meant something.

I'm not as pessimistic (spelling??) as some people. The head honchos at Marvel recognised that there were far too many mutants, they solved the problem. To undo that wouldn't make sense.

They didn't solve a thing, we still got X-factor,X-men,Uncanny,Astonishing,New X-men,Excalibur,Cable&Deadpool, and various mini-series.

So wow 198, but the X-men is still overcrowded to the point Sabretooth is now a X-man.

Yes.

And ah... I'm pretty sure THAT has already started. Son of M, New Avengers, and such.

no what pisses the fans off is that the mutants becoming a majority was approved by the current EIC and then quickly reversed.

But then there would be no stories to tell.
Sure there would,... just that the Phoenix would then have manifested as an Avenger, or a Defender, or an herald of Galactis.

Varient bro! I got love for ya, but f**k that!
(chuckle) was that the "Hateful response?"

I'm only stating what I believe (Based on past experience) Marvel's going to revert to.

That is not what happened at all.

I have no idea what New Avengers book you read, but in the one I read only Magneto got his powers back.

How in the flying heck did you get the impression every mutant would get their powers back??
Check the date of the post.

Marvel stated it themselves,.. Conservation of energy is in effect.

I'm also curious as to how tossing the cast-off super-mutant powers into the sun was supposed to get rid of them?

Like saying you got rid of a flaming torch by putting it under a sunlamp.

Based on this,.. The Depowered Mutants stay that way for exactly as long as it takes that mutant energy to travel from the sun to earth.

Based on the comic it took two hours to travel 2000 miles? I'm thinking that the mutants regain their powers in a little more than 3800 days.

or roughly 10 years,................ unless Wanda changes her mind.

(heh)

He didn't say they did happen. He said that when this is all said and done, it most LIKELY will happen.

And... claiming the Spider-Man we'd known for years was just a dirty clone did make sense? I think you're mistaking pessimism for pragmatism. If sales begin to fall on the X-titles or the creative well starts to run dry, I think you'd be surprised at what suddenly starts to make sense to the people running Marvel.
(chuckle)
Props for the serious truth - Marvel is now driven MORE by the dollar,... so these kinda changes are truly possible.

Galan has shown a fondness for women of the cosmic flame variety.
