Mass Effect 2

I noticed that on my trophy list with the ps3 version that I have 3 trophies that are for The Arrival DLC. :ninja:

Yeah, I'm disappointed also, but it seems she's too hung over her ex to start a new relationship. I do find it strange that you can romance Jack and Samara but not Kasumi, though.

whats strange about that? You just pointed out exactly why you cant with Kasumi. I think it fits in context to where the character is coming from especially after you do her loyalty mission

Do you think Shepard will be able to romance Kasumi in ME3, like he can with Tali in ME2?

It's possible. It all depends on how much the fans want it, since that's why they decided to make Tali romancable in ME2. The only tricky part is how they can introduce her in the 360 and PC versions if the player did not buy the ME2 DLC, but they can probably just handwave it and say they met between games. Any romantic interaction between Kasumi and Shep wouldn't be happening until 3 anyway so it's not like it would change a lot other than maybe a few extra lines of dialogue.

If Kasumi would have been romancable in ME2 it would have made her seem cold IMHO. Getting over her dead love THAT quickly?

In ME3 some time will have passed. Also, it's not stated exactly how long her boyfriend has been dead in ME2. By the time we get to ME3 there will have been enough time for her grieving period to be through.

if the person didnt buy the DLC in ME2, then she simply wont exist to romance in ME3. Either that or they meet for the first time in ME3. It all depends on the players decisions/playstyle

I do wonder how they will handle ME3, bc in ME1 only 2 (out of 3) party members can die, whereas in ME2, all of them can. The 2 got diminished roles in the sequel, so Im afraid all of them will get diminished roles in ME3. I hope not bc I loved most of the squad members this time around

My John Shepard will just stick with Liara. :p

My Shepard romanced Liara in ME1 (after I screwed up the chance to do it with Ashley), but I'm going with Miranda in ME2. Hopefully Miranda will show up in part 3 of the Mass Effect trilogy.

Yeah, I've been thinking that we are going to get another new cast of characters in ME3 because of that.

so how many characters came back from ME1 to ME2, and were there any discrepencies if that person died in the first game but was used in #2? does that make sense?? like im curious since i havent played the first one, if you had Tali and she died (could she have died?). if you brought your xbox/pc save to the next game than anything dealing with her wouldve changed or wouldnt have happened, correct? like Shepherd had those two teammate in the first game and apparently you had to choose which one lived. in ME2 i ran into Ashley on that colony cuz she lived, but if i chose the other guy than it wouldve been him there instead?

You had 6 squad mates in ME1.
Wrex, and Ashley or Kaiden can die. The only guarantee returnees were Tali, Garrus and Liara, with the former 2 being the only ones that can be squadmates in ME2. If the characters died in ME1, then they obviously dont appear in ME2. Shepard will have a picture of Ashley/Kaiden in his cabin. You can hear on the radio that an academy was built and named after Kaiden. Not sure about Ashley. As for Wrex, he comes a clan leader to the Krogan on their planet, but I read that if he died, some other person becomes it. In all cases, if they lived, the characters only appear in one segment of the game and play very little impact on the actual story.

I believe the only ones who could die in the 1st one are kaiden, ashley and wrex, the comic lets you choose who lives and dies and the changes are seen in the game accordingly, though none of the ones you picked to survive seem to have a big role, so yea kaiden wouldve been there instead and the dialogue isnt even that much different, and if you choose to kill wrex someone else takes his place as leader of the urdnot clan

I don't know, I doubt you'll get an entire new squad for ME3. I'm sure Bioware will "retire" some of the characters from ME2, but I feel like whoever you're left with at the end of that game is going to make up the bulk of your squad.

Unless you let everyone die.

I'm hoping you get your current ME2 team, plus your team from ME1 + new characters. I want them to go all out for the finale chapter in Shepards story.

I imagine you'll probably just get the Virmire survivor from the first game. The other human is dead. Wrex is either dead or too busy running Tuchanka. Liara is busy being the Shadow Broker. I'm positive Garrus and Tali will return though. I'm also sure there will be some new people to recruit. Probably not as many as ME2, but enough to have a full compliment.

This maybe slightly off topic. But I saw Battle: Los Angeles for the second time yesterday, and paid close attention to the aliens. Upon listening the sounds they make, it reminded me of the noises the Collectors make. It may not be the SAME exact sound, but damn close.

I pity the fools that let Wrex die on the first one. Wrex was an awesome character, and I loved seeing him in part 2. I would love to have him on the team again in the third one. I want to put him and Grunt together during some missions.

After I finished ME2, I'm considering playing it through again on higher difficulty, or roll a new character since I've only played soldier class in both ME games. When I was first picking a class in ME1, aside from soldier I also considered vanguard, because using shotgun as a primary weapon seemed interesting at the time. I'd like to know what you guys think about this class, and since shotgun seems to have low ammo count, would it be possible to use this weapon most of the time? And since charging at enemies seems rather suicidal, what makes this class more fun to play than other classes?

I actually let him die once, then reload and let him live. I was hoping he'd be carried over in ME2, but Grunt is a cool krogan as well.

I let him die on my second playthrough as I was going for completely opposite actions.

Out of all the ME2 characters, I hope Miranda makes it to ME3 the most. Followed by her, Im pulling for Zaeed and Kasumi. Those 3 are by far the most interesting additions

my Miranda died....so yeah.

Miranda, Mordin and Grunt were the best new characters, IMO anyway. Of course bring Garrus "Da Man" Vakarian as he's a must.

I also would like for Joker to have a much larger role in this one... maybe some how make him a playable team member. He's so freaking hilarious in ME2 that I demand more.

"Oh wow Commander, even your Asari are trained killers. You get everyone from the same store or something?"

lol.
