Miranda...yuck.

I think Mordin was far and away the best new character in ME2. I also liked Grunt and Legion quite a bit as well.

Miranda is a really interesting character once you crack her shell. Now, you could get rid of Jacob and I wouldn't bat an eye.

Mordin was my favorite by a huge margin. He's so old that I don't expect a large role (if any) in ME3 tho. I liked Miranda a lot as well, and impossibly, Garrus got even more awesome.

Was pretty bored with Jacob, Thane and Samara.

I predict that Mordin will be out of your squad, but he'll probably still hang out in the Normandy lab. He was too well-received for Bioware to take him out of the game entirely.

Yeah, if I were playing a female Shepard I'd rather go for Liara instead of that biotic guy as well.

I hated her even in the first game. She came across way too hard and her xenophobia was irritating

Yeah, but there were only two romance options in the first game. My paragon went for Ash and my Renegade went for Liara. I was hoping for a slightly more happy reunion.

Ashley got away from the Collectors. She was stung and frozen, so how was she just chilling like it was nothing after the fight was over?

The whole game I was hoping for some big reveal because some people would make references that seem like identities and faces could be faked.

They could of just left her, the Normandy showed up quickly after the Collectors arrived. A lot of other people were left, she was probably one of them.

I get that, but the people left behind were pretty much frozen. She would have been frozen too, but she was walking around normally.

I thought she just got unfrozen when the Collectors left.

That's what happened. When the collectors leave... the influence they have over others (the freezing) does too.

I was also dissapointed with how small a role the Council played. I thought hte decision of making Anderson or Udina the human representative would have bigger consequences but they only show up for a small bit in the opening. Even when I revisited the Citadel, there wasnt any new dialogue based on the things that happened in the universe and with Shepard.

I would by lying if I said stuff like that wasn't disappointing, at least initially, but after finishing the game none of it really bothered me. And I have faith that Bioware will do much better with ME3. To me, it almost feels like the import stuff in ME2 was sort of like a test run, and ME3 will be the real deal.

Do you guys have a good strategy on beating the Collectors Ship mission? I brought along Miranda (because she's a biotic and also because she's loyal and have Warp) and Grunt (who's not loyal, but I used him as meat shield and dmg dealer). I died about 5 times before I gave up. I read that Jack/Samara is a good combo vs Collectors, but neither of them are loyal yet. Should I only bring loyal squadmates in this mission?

I dont think loyalty matters at all tillthe final mission, except for bonus powers. I say biotics are decent against collectors bc they tend to use barriers. Miranda would definetly be good on that. I myself also like to use snipers. Garrus or Zaeed would be good

I guess I'll redo the mission with Miranda and either Garrus or Zaeed and see if it'll make a difference. Thanks.
