Mass Effect 2

Its kinda sad to say, but I still have not played ME2 yet. And I got ME1 when it first came out! I've had ME2 for the past few weeks and I haven't played it yet. I'm so far behind in the games I want to play. Entire console generations behind! (As in there I games I still want to get on past consoles :p) I've been playing ME1 again for the thousandth time and I have been loving every moment of it! :D I will be playing ME2 soon.

Mass Effect 2 is a very different experience than the first game. Which isn't to say it's worse. Far from it. Many people, myself included, would say that it's even better. It's just an entirely different beast. I thought you might want to know that going in.

PS3 version beat. Managed to get everyone out alive even though one wasn't loyal. w00t.

So yeah, I'm pretty much going to avoid the getting the IFF until I have everything else done; including all the DLC misisons. :ninja: I just got Tali back on the ship. :woot:

Yes. That would be the smart thing to do. Saving IFF for last is what I do everytime I play it.

Yeah I've heard some people say its drastically different. Which kinda surprises me, but I know I will enjoy it. Its frakkin BioWare! :D

Dunno why, but I'm having a hard time completing the Collectors Ship mission. I hate Praetorian and its never-ending barrier shield. :cmad: Everything I took down the shield and the armor, it starts to regenerate the barrier again. Ugh.

Try it on Insanity without the Cain. Its a freakin' nightmare. I was THIS close to killing myself to alleviate the anguish. That one part makes Horizon seem like a cakewalk in comparison.

Its the Scion that's revolving around you and then the one that joins in after that, he keeps you busy long enough for the Collectors to set up and for Harbinger to start dropping fireballs and other crap all over your squad.

I'd like to know how many barrier shields can a Praetorian regenerate before you can finally kill it for good, because I'm getting discouraged. :csad:

I'm now wondering if I should have picked Widow sniper rifle instead of Revenant assault rifle. I like Revenant and its huge ammo supply, but the recoil rubs me the wrong way. I read in a guide that says Widow is the best sniper rifle in the game, but Revenant isn't as good as M-96 Mattock I got from the Firepower pack because M-96 has better stability and damage than Revenant. Which weapon would you guys pick for a soldier?

the only time i ever used the Revenant was when i first got it. that ammo clip is worth the frustration with the recoil. i pretty much stuck with the Vindicator(?) assault rifle and switched with my M3 Predator.

Unless you listen to the real BioWare "fans" that hate ME2 and the like...

As for playing the game on Insanity.... No. I like to have fun playing my games even if it's the 100th time playing it. I have no desire to get angry and overly tough AI nor do I care about how "complete" my trophy sets look...

Or achievements for that matter.

Insanity gets fun after you've got a completely firm handle on the game. The first time I tried it I got scared off at watching my character's shields just melt away but after a few times through on Hardcore I punched through it without too much problem really.

Though I did play as an Infiltrator... that might have helped.

I'll redo the mission again and pick up Widow instead, and see if I can use M-96 to get through the mission instead. Revenant may have its problems, but I was able to keep using it without being forced to switch weapon. If Widow is really that much better than Incisor I'll keep it over Revenant.

I bet Bioware just love to tease us.

is it possible for Shepard to die in the suicide mission?

wow. so what would happen for ME3, new leader with the old crew? how much do we know about this connecting story Bioware has created?

You would probably just start a new game as if you didn't have a save from ME2 or something. I really couldn't imagine them doing that amount of work to compensate for that situation.

There wouldn't be any Mass Effect 3 if Shepard dies. The ME trilogy is his/her story.

Yeah, if Shepard dies, then you can't import that save. So, galaxy doomed I guess?

Bioware has said that saves with a dead Shep won't transfer over to ME3.
