Mass Effect 3 - Part 1

I based mine on Michelle Forbes. She didn't turn out very hawt. Not hawt at all. :csad:

But that's no fun. I think I'm gonna aim to make a Shep who looks like Droopy next.

I change Shep's appearance purely out of spite for BioWare's hiring some handsome model to 'play' him.

Ah, well that makes sense. I'm just not to good at creating things... Now that I have to play ME1 from scratch.. again and import it to ME2 maybe I'll try my hand at character creation.

Still, I tend to just go with what's on the box. If Shepard was never shown on the box or art, ect... I wouldn't have much of an "issue" with it. I'm just a stickler for continuity I guess.

One thing I don't do anymore is try to make Shep look like me. I tried it once on my first play-through of ME, and then I forgot about it. I imported that play-through into ME 2 and was like, "Gaaah!" So that was one time I actually just reset him to the default model-boy Shep.

I'm so on team default Shep. For me, that's what I will always imagine Shep as, especially considering the game covers.

I think the face creators are **** anyway. Everytime I mess around with it, it's just these abomination Sheps running around, doesn't feel right.

First time I played ME I spent like a half an hour on customizing Shepard, but then I wasn't satisfied with him after finishing Eden Prime. I was too lazy to try to customizing him again so I was like screw it, I'm going with the default Shepard.

I could never go with default Shep. Any game that allows me to customize, I do. I loved how my Shep ended up looking anyway

If you ever needed help making any, the ME2 Faces database is an amazing resources as they have some amazing looking ones on there

I was told before that it's an "OCD thing" by a friend. I was like ... No... That's just how Shepard looks. I did the same for Hawke in DA2.

My custom shep looks good. Black guy, Goatee with crewcut hair. He looks like a badass.

I should rephrase, I spoke poorly. I'm horrible with the face creator. That site you posted Havok...they have some really cool options.

Still, Def. Shep > all. :o

I prefer default Shep as well.

Some people have managed to make some really nice faces but it always feels off to have Shepard being the least detailed face among the main crew.

That and I think def. Shepard looks great when he's being snide/snarky.

I perfer a custom Shepard. Mine (in the first game) had a scar going down the side of his face, but was removed when I transproted it to Mass Effect 2. He was bold and i made his features diferent than the Shepard that is used for th e game ocvers and things like that. He actually looks a bit more like a modern day Krut Angle ( the wrestler), lol.

I think you pretty much summed up why I always use default Shep... or default anyone in any game that allows you to "create your own" if you want. The custom stuff, even if it's great, never looks detailed enough... just sort of plastic looking.

Now, if other people don't notice that... That's fine, but I always do.

It's not always the case.

Just because you're not good with the character creator doesn't mean that everyone is going to be bad with it, and everyone's custom characters are going to come out looking bad. No offense.

A lot of the creations I've seen from ME1 and ME2 are fantastic. A lot of the creations I've seen in DAO and DA2 are fantastic. My console Shepard is modeled off Jennifer Garner, done in ME1, and ported fantastically to ME2.

DAO is another one. There are tons of fan-made faces that are better than a lot of in-game characters, though I'll admit a lot of fans make their faces in the toolset (where there's more options) and then port them into the CC. Regardless, plenty of people use just the CC, and I'm one of them. And I've made some mighty fine looking Wardens. You just never get to see their faces except for when you're picking silent dialogue!

Well... I may try my hand at creating a Shepard in ME1 just to be different. Obviously I'll import the default for my main Shep... but might as well mess around a bit.

That site... how does one go about creating a REALLY good Shepard from those? Just copy the creation code or whatever?

I feel that the more I use the Custom Creation, the better each Custom Shep gets.
