Mass Effect 3 - - - Part 12

while the extended endings are a step above the original endings, I feel like I still can't be totally satisfied with them. It still feels like your are boxed in to choices which are still largely unappealing.

There should have been more variations/permutations for each ending, based on your actions/score.

For example, with Destroy, if you did certain things right, you should be able to save EDI/Geth.

As it stands, with all the options (including the new Refusal option), you still feel like you're getting screwed.

Bailey and Aria? Really? I mean they were cool and all, but they are just as important as Helena Blake...or even the Rogue VI from ME1. :hehe:

I see what you did there :cwink:

Not that some of us didn't expect this. But

Team member says "much more" coming in the way of DLC.
... More

I have to admit, I fell asleep while watching it last night. I just finished watching it again it it was meh. I wish I could care but I dont even remember some of the things I had done and dont have that attachment to my Shepard and his story now. Ive moved on from ME3 and this would have meant more to me coming off playing the game. I never did my hardcore run with my renagade femShep, so Im sure it will mean alot more when I tackle that

Im guessing The Extended Cut is the last of the free DLC

Then it'd be shorter then the last time they did free dlc since ME2. I'll take the wait and See approach.

It's about choices and sacrifices, and it is the middle of an unprecedented war. Losses were going to occur. If you want to save everyone... go Control and have Shepard be the one that bites it, while everyone else survives.

Anyone else think a prequel game with Anderson as the main character would kick ass?

Would kinda defeat the purpose of a player created avatar, no?

Agreed.

I have no doubt that the series will continue in some fashion... but I'd imagine it won't be on this generation of consoles. I could see them giving us another avatar, probably in a time-frame set hundreds of years after the events of the original trilogy.

I would've loved to see Shep's full name on the plaque at the end. Commander Philip Shepherd would've been nice. Since the first name basically had nothing to do in any of the three games. Would've been cool for Bioware to give the gamer a little nod.

That sounds like what was described for next "gen tech" for the game to recognize what you have named your character and to do some thing like that. which is why most of the publishers are making the move to do so. Cause as of Right now it's not doable. Even for bioware.

In sports games you can create an outfieler and it'll keep your name down.

yeah but it's still different from what you saying or wanted in ME3 though. it was something that was talked about on Ep by people that wanted their games to do stuff like you said. like when you start up your system and mario shows up and actually say hello to you and says your name as well cause he know's who you are and is seeing you. that's what what you said reminds me of. That kinda of a thing. nearly any way. I'm just saying right now it just wasn't likely.

in the way/ sense that the game just wasn't programed to recognize it in that way. yes. unfortunately. They didn't program it to memorize thing's/ details like that. mostly cause they didn't think that far ahead. and i see them using that excuse of next gen in the way i described too.

well you don't have to create you own... but it was a long time ago so the only problem is future anderson is black.

I just would like to see the books played out in some fashion, honestly.

lol they can always do what they did with River in doctor who. for some reason as a kid she was black or as I see it mixed. ok that might be too much for some of you with the way that was done.

They could still make a younger Anderson an NPC or something, but yeah...Anderson or any other pre-made character would create a fundamental problem that we already know what happens to them in the future. So, for instance, if Garrus was to show up in a ME prequel, we would know that he could not die, etc. because he eventually shows up in ME.

And I'd still always take my own player-made character rather than a pre-existing one in RPGs.

ummm ok I think you should just play the game first and then come back here. no one want's to spoil that for you.

I played it once already....I will just have to powerplay that last 2/3 of the game :)

Which is why a sequel obviously functions better. Plus, given what we know of other species... it could be set hundreds of years in the future and STILL incorporate some of the cast, namely Liara and possibly either of our friendly neighborhood Krogans.

I'd prefer to go forward rather than back honestly. They could make an animated film about Anderson during the First Contact War though...

It would be interesting if they made a game about Shepards kid. If you romanced Liara, it would of course be an Asari, or if you romanced Ashley or any of the other human ladies it would be human.

The only tricky part is if you were a female Shepard that didn't go with Liara, gay, or didn't romance anyone at all. or Tali, Can Quarians and Humans even make babies together?

I guess the answer for that would have to be a new character that you create like Shepard but with a different name.

then it could be like elder scrolls where you pick a race :D
