I'd prefer to go forward rather than back honestly. They could make an animated film about Anderson during the First Contact War though...

It would be interesting if they made a game about Shepards kid. If you romanced Liara, it would of course be an Asari, or if you romanced Ashley or any of the other human ladies it would be human.

The only tricky part is if you were a female Shepard that didn't go with Liara, gay, or didn't romance anyone at all. or Tali, Can Quarians and Humans even make babies together?

I guess the answer for that would have to be a new character that you create like Shepard but with a different name.

I think Asari are the only species that can "breed" with the other races, and that's only because they aren't really "Breed" just stealing dna or something.

I never picked up that species could cross breed like in Star Trek.

Yeah, exactly. Maybe a bit more like Dragon Age Origins though. That character would have a preset build, and each one would have it's own last name. However it would be a lot of voice work for just one character, and I'd rather there not be a silent protagonist.

I think some species can, like Humans and Vulcans or Bajorans. I think if they're physiology is similar, it will work.

I already had this talk with upset spidey and a few others in another thread of MassEFF3
he said the other races can't have kids in this universe with cross breeding. though that ruined part of my decedent of shepard idea with any alien race. when we were discussing it. But seeing this is science fiction and all. they can use science and have test tubes kids I think. it's just rules out the idea of them being given birth to. That's all.

well other then the asiri version of it. seeing that the other races seem to bit a bit alien racist(hell upset spidey said it him self on rex and the way he acted at first) it makes sense. if their is any of that they are in some remote place in the universe in hiding.

Considering that most of the species can't even eat the same food, I don't see how they could make babies together. I'm not saying they couldn't exist, just that there is a sever lack of evidence for it.

I remember bioware answered us on that food thing. when they were answered people about them bein stranded on that planet with tropical trees with that mess they put them selves in with the closure issue.

before that they had a person that was sent to places like game informer which was a dev that said they all eat the same food it is in this thread which I'm sure it was upset spidey that put that up. you must have missed it. And to make it clear what i was suggesting with the science part and the cross breeding, i mean by making artificial test tube babies. by machines. one way to get around the issue.

Well I saw the added scenes from all the endings. While I my hatred for the starchild, and the motivation for what he does will always exists, the extended cut did make it a TAD bit better. The endings are....5% more bearable, better than .00000000000000% bearable. So I guess I will be downloading the EC.

I thiink the new dialogue changed the tone of that whole interaction for me. They made Starchild feel more antagonistic whenever Shepard challenges it and when it gets into what it is and its motivations how monstrous its thinking and methods are gets pointed out. It came off less omniscient and impartial than it did before and felt like an actual avatar of the Reaper intelligence this time.

Shepard feels like he's moreso forced to make due with the situation this time rather than just blindly accepting everything the kid says which was one of my "MUSTS" for the DLC going in.

I played through the EC late last night, and overslept for work because of it lol, and I went with Control which was my original choice. All the added stuff did make the ending a bit better but it is still far from perfect.
My favorite part was when Normandy came down to pick up your squad mates.
The crashing on the jungle planet was stupid from the beginning but now when they just fly away in the end it makes it even more stupid, to me at least.

Edit: I wish we had gotten some scenes of your allies fighting as well.
Regarding the Refusal option, it's impossible to win with that?

So, I've seen the extended endings now, on my first try I actually jokingly shot at starchild, did not expect that to happen lol, that ending sucked tho, the refuse ending is better when you do it thru the dialogue, so I tried again with the control ending, what I intendes to do in the first place, turned out pretty good to me, definitely my favorite one, the others were just ok, I did love the new dialogue with starchild, and actually explaining what he/it is, still could've been better (I'd like to have seen more of my war assets in actual action) but yea, I'd upgrade the ending for my main Shepard from an ok ending to a legitimate good one, I got most of what I was looking for

As for Shepard and crossbreeding humans and aliens besides Asari. Shepard can do whatever s/he wants as nothing will stop them when they want something. If they want a baby with a quarian, drell or anything else amino/dextro issues be damned. IT WILL HAPPEN!!!
