Mass Effect 3 - Part 2

I'm going through my "final" run of ME2 with a Vangaurd Shep, who will stay with Liara. I figure I need at least one playthough where my Shep doesn't create a love triangle for ME3. Wrex, the Council and the Queen are all alive. Kaiden blew up, and Udina is on the Council.

I'm in the middle of doing another run of ME2 in preparation for the third one. But I don't plan on going through both games again for a long, long time. I'm going to finish my three Shepards in ME3, and that will probably be the last I play of those games for the foreseeable future. Mass Effect 3 DLC notwithstanding.

I saved all my DLCs for my "ultimate" Mass Effect 2 Playthough. I haven't played any yet. :)

Can it be any worse than the 2nd DLC for the first game?

It's one long grind combined with an escort mission and ends with
a decision that forces you to wipe out a few hundred thousand Batarians with the promise that you'll stand trial for it in the beginning of ME 3.

On the plus side, you do get to see Admiral Hackett.

Yeah, Arrival was awesome. By all means, do it.

Well I bought all of them already so I kinda have to. :)

My canon run (god, that sounds nerdy) for ME3 will be with Shep's only true love, Tali. :o

Same here, Tali's awesome.

I think I'll get all of the ME2 DLC this week since it's on a discount.

It wouldn't be surpring if video games do become the next comic-book movie type craze. Comic book movies are saturated like hell and video games are super popular with quite abit of fandom. Hopefully the Mass Effect movie is a fun parady like Street Fighter: The Movie.

I already did my "ultimate" playthrough on Mass Effect 1.

Kaiden is sacrificed.
Wrex is alive.
I let the Rachni Queen live.
I let the Council survive.
I chose Anderson as the member of the Council.
I slept with Ashley.

That's a mirror image of my first (and only) Femshep playthrough on ME1.

Only thing I didn't do was sleep with Ashley, I got with Liara. But my main goal was to get with Kaiden. But my advances weren't strong enough.

Oh well, Liara is still just as good.

Of course the Arrival DLC goes on sale 2 days after I buy it. Just perfect.

New quote from Casey Hudson:

From the GTTV episode last night:

"And there's something between them and Cerberus, the organization that The Illusive Man runs. That's part of what you need to figure out is: why does Cerberus almost appear to be working with the Reapers?"

and the plot thickens..........

If they are, they better give us a damn good reason. There are only two ways the Reapers deal with living beings. Either they kill them, or put them in slavery. So what cause would Cerburus have to align themselves with the Reapers?

Once I finish up New Vegas I'll be going through both ME1 and ME2 again. They'll will be my "canon" playthroughs.

Pulling a Saren?
Or, having studied the Reaper that Shep (potentially) left behind, found a way to mimic the indoctrination process without actually being controlled...sort of a strike from within offensive? Although that seems a little belittling of the Reapers' abilities if you could pull that off.

how do you think they will implement the "bonus" powers that you could get in ME2 by doing your Squadmates' loyalty missions?

will all those powers be unlocked from the start and then, once you reach a certain level, you get to chose 1 of them?

I hope it's something like that.

what I hope they do NOT do is make certain powers class specific. I liked that all classes could have access to those bonus powers.

I hope they do. It defeats the purpose of classes if everyone had access to everything

Classes need to go the way of the dodo. You shouldn't be forced in to specific talents based on an early choice. Every rpg needs to do what Skyrim is doing with having your class evolve as you play rather than you picking something at the start of the game and being forced to use something u might not like.
