Mass Effect 3 - Part 2

I'm glad that all the weapons will be accessible to each class in ME3.

Classes need to go the way of the dodo. You shouldn't be forced in to specific talents based on an early choice. Every rpg needs to do what Skyrim is doing with having your class evolve as you play rather than you picking something at the start of the game and being forced to use something u might not like.
I so disagree. Have no clue whats going on in Skyrim as I havent been paying attention to that but I prefer specialization in my RPGs. Its better than having everyone be generic with the same abilities

Yeah me too. Now I'll change my Femshep back to a Vanguard becasue I couldn't do jack**** with her as a Vanguard in ME 2.

I got my ass beat repeatedly.

No, every game does not.

Understand that different games have different intents and designs, and these are conscious by the people in charge.

And if anyone has ever played through the entirety of Mass Effect or ME2 with a class they didn't like, and this was somehow by surprise and/or otherwise not for a purpose, then that player is stupid.

Yeah, I'm kicking butt with my male Vanguard right now. Even before I unlocked AR training.

Vanguards rock. It was my first class and I loved it. Biotic Charge plus shotgun blast is so much fun

I never really liked playing anything other than a soldier hahah, I don't use anything other than the assault rifle in ME1 or the sniper (mantis, f**kyeah) in ME2 but it bothers me if I can't use all the guns.

Anyways I'm realllly hoping they end the trilogy with a song as great as M4 Part II... I had my iTunes on shuffle and it came on, the whole ending of the first game flashed before my eyes.

That really is a great song. I sincerely doubt they would, but I would love it if they used the Commander Shepard song. Assuming the game doesn't have a super dour ending.

I tried playing soldier on my last playthrough and hated it. Seemed kind of dull to me. :/

See I tried playing as a Vanguard and that just seemed like a pain to me... and a bit redundant. I have all of these "powered up people" in my squad.. I just felt the need to be the old fashioned, balls to the wall, bring a gun to a knife fight soldier.

As far as ME2 goes, playing as a Solider and an Adept have been my two favorites. But I like to try and use a new class each time I play.

it would be great if the Infiltrator class in ME3 felt more agile and stealthy like. and now with melee attacks, they should get some kind of backstab strike......

as for Vanguards, I'm interested to see what their special melee attack is. but even with the Omni blade, using that to follow up a Charge attack = :awesome:

That is a pretty rad song but it didn't grab me like M4 did... then again, not many songs have had that effect on me anyway. :o

Ditto, for some reason Shep just seems more Soldier than anything else. To me anyway.

 It always felt weird having tech/biotic abilities, I hated having to get the achievements for those in the first game. It's probably because I use the default face but I dig the idea of Shepard being an exceptional grunt lol.

Didn't work too much for me. I used it a lot and it's a cool move. It just wasn't really effective for me.
Did you upgrade it?

I don't remember both the level 4 upgrades, but one of them gives you a 100% full biotic barrier and a huge physical force hit and time dilation effect (less than Adrenline Rush's, but similar to the Infiltrator when peeking through a sniper scope) at the time of hit. Even the level 2 upgrade starts giving you a biotic barrier refill each time you charge.

As much as I like Adrenaline Rush, just because of the ability to constantly fully restore your shield without hiding makes Biotic Charge probably the most effective of the squad powers.

I like pew-pew. :awesome:

I've played a few Vanguards and never gotten that far with them. I get bored with the constant charging despite its effectiveness.

Heck yeah. I was pleasantly surprised with Adept, though I play on a lower difficulty level than I play my Soldiers because I don't feel like dealing with added resistances my biotics can't get through. So I just drop it to Normal and have fun with Human God Shepard (not his actual name).

I tried solider with my 2nd character but it just felt like generic third person shooter. I much prefer the biotic powers and extra abilities biotic and even tech based classes bring. Makes for much more interesting gameplay.

Speaking of which, I plan on playing a third time but gonna play a more neutral game, not worrying about morality at all. I think I might even go with default Shep. Undecided about class. Already have a vanguard and sentinel.

don't mind the biotics, but I prefer just shooting people in the face.....or melting them with hot rounds

I did the Arrival DLC today with my female shep and now have 100% trophies. All I need to do is Project Overlord and Shadow Broker with her some time before this game comes out

I prefer playing Shep as a solider, as well. Whatever teammates I'm using juggle the powers, and Shep's ammo upgrades cover anything that's left. Solider Shep + Barrier is one badass combination.

for me, pure Soldier is just too boring.......lol

which is ironic cuz in fantasy-type games like Dragon Age, I tend to prefer the old fashioned, tried-an-true Sword and Shield Warriors.......

In ME, I love me some Biotic powers. so, I tend to gravitate towards Adept or Vanguard.

of course, I'm interested in seeing how all of the classes play in ME3, so I'm open to all of them.

I always turn squad power usage to off, so even if I'm a soldier, I'm still controlling different powers. I give each class a go, though. Especially in ME1. Damn those ally/class achievements.

one thing I found in ME1 and ME2 is that, aside from the powers and abilities, the different classes of Shepard really didn't feel that much different, especially in the way Shepard moves.

For example, I'd imagine Infiltrators, being the "rogue" type class, would be more agile and faster in their movements. They would be swift, stealthy, and strike with deadly precision. As such, they'd be more maneuverable on the battlefield, more so than, say, the regular soldier.

it would be a nice touch in ME3 if the different classes maneuvered differently on the battlefield.....
