Mass Effect 3

I guess part of the reason I'm not outraged at all is cause I never really followed things the developers said, I just played the games and enjoyed them for what they are, great games

Even if the developers did not
promise multiple endings, the endings do not provide closure and resolution.

That's why it's a challenge! No I don't know the numbers but figure 2-3 brutes per match? 333,000 total matches, 110,000 matches per day ballpark, among the entire 360 and PC community? I think it's doable

assuming word gets out and people concentrate on fighting Reapers. I guess they'll have an announcement on the in game menu

When I played the silver challenge in the demo, when it came time for extraction Atlas mechs came at us endlessly... so I'd assume if we were fighting reapers there would be an endless stream of brutes for 2 minutes. :awesome:

I'm just speaking for myself, I was fine with my ending, sure it could've been better but I'm fine it

After reading everyone's comments about the ending...

Where are people getting the idea that the Renegade ending is the 'true one' and the only one in which Shepard lives? Whether or not Shepard lives is based on your Effective Military Strength (Military Strength x Readiness Rating) and whether or not you 'save' Anderson from the Illusive Man. If you save Anderson and your EMS is above 4000, Shepard will live even if you pick the Paragon or Neutral option. I mean, it's clearly stated on both IGN guides as well as the official game guide.

And speaking of patching the ending, I don't think there can be anything worse than Bioware actually changing the ending because of fan outcry. What they can do, however, is give us an extended epilogue that shows us the outcome of all our decisions as in what happened to all the other races, your squadmates, the galactic army you amassed and yes, Earth. I think that's the best way to fix this whole situation without really compromising the creators' intended vision. This way, fans will get to see how their choices appropriately affected the ending and Bioware can keep their dark and depressing finale intact. The main problem with the ending was that there was no closure, no catharsis and that can be remedied. Just like what Peter Jackson did with the LOTR trilogy and the extended editions.

Unless I'm mistaken, the only way you can get the bonus ending where Shep wakes up is if your EMS is above 4000 AND you pick the "Destroy" option. The cutscene doesn't play if you pick "Control" or "Synthesize."

Also, for once I'm gonna post something not related to the endings....what did everyone think about Tali's
face reveal?
I personally thought it was lazy as balls, but not so horrible that I'll start a petition about it.

IMO this photoshop is more what I imagined the
Quarians
might look like:

A bit more alien, yet still with some human features. Would've been a billion times better IMO.

Ah yes, I checked it again. You're right.

So basically Paragon means sacrificing yourself so that other races could live. Understandable. That's perfectly all right with me. Like I said, the main ingredient missing is a proper epilogue here that takes into account all your decisions just like in Mass Effect 2. If Bioware can give us a proper payoff, all will be forgiven. Personally, I don't have an issue with Shepard living only in the Renegade option. Mass Effect has always been about making tough decisions and those three choices are no different.

are there any discounts on the stores? I havent purchased anything yet bc I wasnt sure if there were ways to reduce the prices along the way and if I might screw myself over if I dont have enough money for some things at the end

I'd also appreciate an "epilogue" DLC but even so I disagree that the endgame is fitting of the franchise.

As I've said previously, the ME story is all about overcoming adversity...triumphing in the face of certain failure. But the end just throws all of that away. There's no way to convince the AI that his logic makes no sense whatsoever; that you already proved in ME3 that synthetics and organics can co-exist peacefully. And that, IMO, is something that SHOULD have been an option in the game, not only because it makes sense but because it's one of the staple ideas of the whole franchise.

You can get store discounts via upgrades on the terminal in Liara's room on the Normandy. But, they're like 5% so it's not even worth it IMO.

By the end of the game I had like 400k+ so I wouldn't worry too much about discounts TBH.

It's totally worth it lol the discount is great when you're upgrading weapons and buying armour. It's not much of a savings but hey, a credit chit is a credit chit.

Anyways I just went through a dozen silver matches. Failed a bunch, but there were at least 10 brutes in every match. My quarian infiltrator with her widow saved the day more than once. :awesome:

It was extremely lazy but she's hot so I've got no complaints. :o

I will now start to train my brain into thinking that is what a Quarian REALLY looks like. Flawless victory of a design if I ever saw one.

ok so if this has been posted my apologies.

Oh, f**k no. Deff glad they went with the image they did.

I'll be right back, I'm gonna take some LSD, so I can understand what you're saying more clearly.
