I was secretly trying to vamp her up slightly (as much as you can with those old-timey clothes) so I take it I succeeded on some level!

Loving this piece so far Matt. Great rendering on Wendy and Kool-Aid.

Though I wonder if you could get a little more of a distressed/pained look on the Kool-Aid guy. He doesn't look, to me, like he's reacting enough to having his pitcher busted open. Maybe more of a Grimace on his face or something. Just a thought. Otherwise I'm looking forward to seeing this done.

One other thing, why is Hamburglar drowning Ronald, shouldn't they be on the same team?

Yeah... I get what you're saying but his face is really limited in it's ability to convey emotion without taking to too far away from the original shapes... I may try a retake.

As for the Hamburglar/Ronald smack down, I will have to disagree. Hamburglar is NOTORIOUS for stealing Ronald's burgers, so in my book that makes them enemies.

oh of course it was in a good thing...just ONE question...what is the twinkie doing? Seems as though he has no interaction with anyone/thing.

He's gonna be hold a torch next to a burning golden arches sign.... I know it's unclear now though.

It's sugar bear. I guess a retake is in order, but he is laying face down, so I'm probably not gonna kill myself on this.... I'm kinda going for a cartoon bear with the words 'sugar bear' on the back of his shirt. Lazy, I know, but I have other characters to deal with.

I guess you must be tired of hearing it but that's really amazing and you've got a lot of courage to do that many characters:P

I will say though, I was fully aware going in that this was going to be a beast of a picture.
I am sure I'll be more than sick of it when I am done...

what is your digital medium Mattchew? or do you use multiple ones?

I use a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet with Photoshop. Is that what you were looking for?

Well, its been a while.

I recently have been super busy with exams, work, and then after all that passed I moved.

I am FINALLY settled and will have some free time coming up so I am back in the saddle on my food fight piece.

Here's the addition of a nearly complete Ronald...

I thought I'd first start to tackle the Kool-Aid/Ronald/Hamburglar/Wendy group. Once, I finished Wendy, the Kool-Aid guy, and Ronald, I moved on to the Hamburglar to close out this little group...

I hate making judgements before something is finished.

I guess the only suggestion, which you might be doing anyway, would be to put some red stains on the Hamburgler to signify Ron was splashing around and struggling.

Otherwise, it's terrible. Absolutely terrible.

Onto another grouping. This time I'm gonna complete the Lucky / Count Chocula / Frankenberry / Boo Berry group. So far, I'm done with Boo Berry And Count Chocula....

Yeah... if you look back at the flat color version, it WAS blue but then I've got a few comments that it didn't make sense visually... But since its the way I wanted initially, and you guys think it's a good idea, the blue blood is back!

the cali raisin needs to be more purple... he kinda looks like a potato or a turd... lol (lil too brown) otherwise everyone else looks great




o and we discussed sugar bear earlier... please fix him and make him look more like sugar bear.. lol he's way too big and looks off... that's gonna completely annoy me (especially since everyone else looks amazing)

I love how toucan sam has that "have mercy" gesture going on and the trix rabbit looks like an addict. who are you having kill the rabbit? I think it would be ****ing sick and twisted, yet great, if the little kids from whom he steals the cereal were taking real revenge on him.
