We saw a Celestial in GOTG and I'm sure we'll get at least a cameo from other cosmic beings.

But I have a weird feeling they are going to alter Thanos's motivation.

I do hope they don't change his motivation. It's the driving force behind him getting the gauntlet after all. Even the silly Silver Surfer cartoon had it, although they changed Death into Lady Chaos. She was also a statue in his ship, not an actual personification. And honestly, I'd like to see Eternity and the Tribunal on the big screen.

What exactly is Thanos' original motivation? It's to impress Death, isn't it?

Well, the whole Infinity Gauntlet story is kicked off when Death realizes there are more people alive now then have died, and she considers this a horrible imbalance. She charges Thanos with killing half the sentient beings of the universe to right this "error". Thanos assembles the gauntlet as a means to accomplish this goal and prove his love to Death. Which leads to an awesome panel where Thanos kills half the universe by snapping his fingers.

Basically, Thanos has a huge stalker-type crush on Death and wants to impress her. Which made me picture Thanos as a high school quarterback trying to impress a cheerleader...how's that for an interpertation?

Death as a cheerleader lol.

Has there been any indication of Death in the MCU?

Thanks for the answer. That's a pretty cool storyline, I hope to see that faithfully adapted.

Not that I'm aware of. The only hint would be when The Other told Thanos that trifling with the humans was to "court death">

That subject might not sit well with him.

Dark Raven, that joke is beyond obvious and a ridiculous pun...thank you for almost making me spit my coffee out. I laughed much harder then I should.

Not to worry, he wont be sitting well anyway after that road accident in the Cap movie

Looking at this and thinking about the entities that appeared in the story, makes it even more sad that the MCU don't have Surfer and Galactus.

Off topic but Marvel is clearly killing it as far as putting out a great collection of movies. They need to catch the same kind of fire in video game industry. Lego marvel was a great step in the right direction and the mmorpg is cool, but they really need more.

I'd like to see them step it up in the animation department first, tbh. I'd love to get some great Marvel animated films like we've gotten with DC.

Agreed and with all the resources they have at Disney they really should.

Do you think they would tie their animated films into the MCU, ala Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, or do you think they'd just keep them separate? I imagine they'd do the latter so that the animators would be free to use the big-name characters without having to worry about making everything fit into the MCU.

Separate and start adapting classic storylines.

I honestly don't care for animated movies but I would love some cool videogames, specially for Captain America.

Most definitely! Adapt the classics, now!

Classic storyline based animated movies would be so sick. It'd also be a great way to see more xmen material without having to rely on the singerverse to deliver.

I would love to see an actual first class X-Men animated film without the second generation characters. Maybe make a 2 parter introducing the next gen in the sequel. New Mutants then X-Factor. Awe man.
