Are you serious with that question?

You break the damned law.

"Ah, geez whiz guys. I really wish I could help save the universe but you know the accords just won't let me. I'm really sorry. It's past my bedtime."

I'm not going to fight for people who want to kill me and bury me in the ocean.

Not worth risking getting killed by military goons, being shot in the back while fighting Thanos.

If you're fighting Thanos then you're fighting for more than a few people. Also a true hero will fight for what's right regardless if people recognize him for it, which is why Cap and his team are on odds with the Accords.

And again, if you're fighting Thanos then Earth military should be one of your least concerns.

So... you wouldn't care that would probably mean you'd let at least the earth and possibly more be completely destroyed and everyone you know and love on it to die? You would rather sit it out and wait until your inevitable death than help out on the off chance that soldiers would decide to shoot minor criminals while they were under the largest universal threat they ever faced which was about to kill all their loved ones?

... I don't know what to say.

Dude. You're fighting for your home. Your planet. Your family. Your very existence. What could be more important? Who cares how others treat you? Do the right thing anyway and they will change their opinion about you. The Accords are man made and can be broken

Im more than okay with that, the only role i could see him in was Dr. Strange or maybe black bolt. There's plenty of other talent marvel has to recruit.

Anyone hoping for a self contained Cap 4 movie now? If MCU plays their cards right, they can give us the most politically incendiary comic book movie of all time.

After the battle with Thanos is over and the people of America have healed, they elect an insane demagogue hell bent on making a mockery of everything the country stands for. Cap, disillusioned by the country he is a symbol of, decides to stand up for the values that represent it instead of what it now is. This puts him in direct confrontation with the government. But he stands with the people.

I know TWS can be said to have included all of this. But this time it can be much more direct, much more emotionally and politically intimate.

I assume Feige will have even more power then. He could get anything green lit. Plus, he has always talked about staying ahead of the curve. I am sure people are gonna be craving for something more small scale after the conclusion of the Avengers saga. This would be the perfect antidote.

As powerful as Dormammu was made in Strange. Who thinks he may take the role of Galactus as the next Universal threat?

Don't know much about Dormammu (or Doctor Strange for that matter) but when they called him the "Destroyer of Worlds" all I could think of was Galactus.

Actually, the beginning of the third act had me immediately remembering Rise of the Silver Surfer. But it quickly went moved on from that surface level similarity to something much more entertaining.

They've mentioned other beings older than time. There's a dead Celestial in Guardians, I'd say when/if a Fox deal goes through they have already planted some seeds for Galactus

And if not, Dormammu is a totally acceptable equivalent.

I could deal with it too. Dormamu even in the comics was never a villain Strange could take on alone to be honest.

Yeah Strange had some cajones to even attempt it this early, helluva character they wrote.

I think I agree. Winter Soldier dealt directly with a conflict he had with his superiors. Civil War was on a global scale, vigilantism had spread across the globe. Cap's personal views, his public perception, haven't really been conveyed from the perspective of the general American population.

I could see some really cool scenes come put of that scenario... A government takeover and Cap maybe fighting back with other Army vets who've chosen to defect and follow Cap. I guess it'd be too much of a retread to have the Red Skull brought back, involved as a Sleeper Agent, the big bad that has infiltrated an agency.

Personally I'd just like to see him brought back period, haha. But he'd probably be better served as a henchman of Thanos, now cosmically...enlightened.

Not surprised nor do I mind.

He hasn't really done a 100+ million big blockbuster since Prince of Persia in 2010 and before that was Day After Tomorrow in 2004. He doesn't seem like a big budget franchise guy and the one instance he did just felt like a career move.

If he'd change his mind I'd be happy. I like him a lot.

I would love to see Gyllenhaal as Moon Knight in a netflix show.

Not sure about a standalone Cap movie, but say hello to your new president

With yesterday's announcement the Inhuman royal family joins Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Heroes for Hire, Daughters of the Dragon, Cloak and Dagger and Runaways as properties that were once rumored for the big screen but are now firmly ensconced in TV land.

That's great news for Marvel fans, but definitely limits Feige's (and his successors) options going forward. So what franchises are left for Phase 4 and beyond? Black Widow seems likely, I can see Midnight Sons as a Dr. Strange sequel and Marvel's the FF as well. But outside of that the pickins' are getting slim.

This would piss me off. What's the point of it all being connected if neither of the Defenders, Inhumans, etc can show up in an MCU movie?

I love the MCU, but thus far Feige and company have done a craptastic job connecting the Cinematic MCU to the (mostly) great stuff done on the small screen. The Inhumans seem too big to ignore, but we shall see.

Ms. Marvel.

Oh ****ing yes!!! :ilv:
Nova maybe too.

I think they have enough material for Phase 4.
Antman 3
GotG 3
Spiderman 2+3
Black Panther 2+3
Black Widow 1+2+3
Dr. Strange 2+3
Captain Marvel 2+3

Enough orgins for me actually. You could make a Wanda & Vision - Movie maybe too?

That would fit his acting aspirations as Spector has multiple personalities.

Personally, I would nominate Rami Malek as Moon Knight.

Maybe something with the Secret Empire as the villains.

They certainly have enough material for a phase or two. But if they get FF rights back, Doctor Doom movie would be great.

You mean his persistent unwillingness to have. . . Netflix characters who are utterly irrelevant to the movie plots show up in the movies anyway? Because not using the AoS cast has a far easier explanation: the show sucks.
